Some info on new R1 / R2 colors

So we go from zero gloveboxes to two? Where is the second glove box?

Haha. They made a big deal about this at the reveal. One of the glove boxes is in the usual place by the passengers seat. The other one is more centered under the dash between the two seats (easier for the driver to access), but is literally right next to the other one. You push up on them and they pop open.

Sign me up for Evergreen being a special color for R2 please. Also I'd love to see a saddle brown type color for the interior instead of the basic black/white.

I have to admit I really liked the Rivian and followed it for a while before launch, and then life and the world got in the way and I’ve only recently looked again (and bought one!) so I missed a lot!

Green on green. Like in my pic. What can I say, I like this color and am super-glad this exact combo came up in the shop when I was waiting for my preorder.

I'm really excited for Rivian and this next step. I can't wait for R2 and R3. They have such a great brand and they deserve the success. Just hope what's going on in the world right now doesn't screw it all up for them.

If Rivian does survive it will be an incredible story of perseverance. They have had nothing but headwinds to struggle with. First the Covid challenges and supply chain issues during the R1/EDV launch and now these self imposed trade wars which are sure to cause pricing and supply chain issues for the R2.

As they say in business, timing is everything and so far Rivian‘s timing has been very unfortunate. It’s amazing to me they are doing as well as they are, fingers crossed the R2 launch impact of these trade wars will not be as bad as the COVID impact was on the R1/EDV launch.

That’s exciting. I wish I could afford an R1. Holding out for the R3, but hoping R2 does well.
