Odometer reading on so called new vehicle?

Just received my signing contracts via email and they say the Odometer reading is 100?
Isn't that high for a vehicle supposed lying coming from the factory. I live in Chicago

100 is the default mileage they put on the initial documents. The real mileage will be stated on the final ones.

Ours was delivered with 25 mi on the ODO. YMMV, like, literally...

Yup, mine on the form said 100 but in reality I want to say it was less than 20 or so (can’t truly remember but it was negligible).

What everyone else is saying is true. Mine was delivered with 13 miles, paperwork said 100.

You can expect anywhere up to 100 miles on the vehicle. Try not to overthink it lol You're gonna put thousands on the car.

Not like the people doing the paper work has physical access to the vehicles. And imagine how inefficient it would be if they have to call around to get someone to go and take an actual reading. It's just a generic placeholder because they can't leave the field blank. You will see actual odometer reading at time of delivery.

Mine also stated 100 miles on my purchase order but I got it with 10 miles.

Search the forum, you'd have your answer. Yes, this is normal. No, it won't come with 100 miles.

The "dishonest" assumption is based on your headline "…so called new vehicle…" People don't use "so-called" unless they're implying dishonesty. If I call a certain political figure a "so-called genius", it's clear I don't believe his claim of being a genius.

Change your title to 'My mistake this is normal mileage'. Typical picked mine up 3 weeks ago paperwork said 100, vehicle had 45.

I don't know of any way to interpret that other than you're saying you don't believe Rivian is really giving you a new, unused car. And it seems that at least three others (see above) read that the same way as I did.
