My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Rivian announced that they'll be supporting this in the 2025.53 release.

Honestly other than NAV in the dash I don't care at all for this. Apple needs to work on stability and getting things like EV charging integrated along with Webex/Teams/Zoom/etc. Don't become something you aren't

It looks nice, but I doubt we'd ever see it. I do like Apple's nav better than either Android Auto or the stock Rivian nav. I've had the stock Rivian nav misdirect me and fail a few times recently, where Apple's nav has done better. But bottom line, I don't see this ever being a likely thing in a Rivian.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Apple's software is OK, but their hardware is amazing. Their mobile AI chip design is off the charts, all on the latest TSMC process (which Rivian cannot afford, even if they had the chip design talent). Apple sells a billion iPhones; NVIDIA does not. Value wise, even NVIDIA cannot compete in non-datacenter, non-desktop AI hardware. Apple's AI models will eventually come around, and AI assisted functionality for your car will be unmatched (except perhaps by Google). When I get my Scout, I'll have Starlink to my phone with all-around amazing experience. Rivian is trying to do it all themselves, but can't do any of it well. ADAS/FSD is another example.

Since it’s a James Bond car, does it manage the anti-theft system as well?

I'm excited for you to get your scout.
