That is an awesome failure more, but it’s more likely the window sensor is flaky. Even more likely is that Rivian software is infested with bugs.

This used to happen to my Tesla all the time. Another way that Rivian is a clone of Tesla, I guess. I have a window which I suspect might be doing this, but the car gets so much use I can’t be sure.
