Thanks for this comment btw. It's something I hadn't really considered as a factor. I've been looking at the Weistec Rock Sliders for my R1T.I just installed mine and regret them.
Super noisy on gravel roads and my plastic panels got damaged so I can't get them back on.
You get what you pay for get Dce. No rust at all on mine with years of abuse.I purchased EVBASE running boards for my R1T in March 2024, installed in April 2024. These are rusting badly. Notified EVBASE. and they offered me $80 USD.

Any others with similar experience? Remedy?
Thanks

While heavier, the solution is more elegant and the mounting bracket acts as a replacement for the plastic panel, which one of mine is pretty banged up.

Mine are 2 years old, showed rust on pipes full length, not due to any damage, after 1 year, masked & sprayed them with rustoleum, & doing fine. Flat plates are doing fine. But then I don't do many gravel roads either.I purchased EVBASE running boards for my R1T in March 2024, installed in April 2024. These are rusting badly. DCE Rock Slider owner here. I have had mine for almost 2 1/2 years now. Rain, rocks, slides and snow and had no issues. They are even less in price from what I paid for them so it’s an even better buy now. Highly recommend to any owner that wants a long lasting product. Thanks for this comment btw. It is a bit of a cost increase, but definitely worth it. That is why we only use high-quality stainless steel to manufacture our products so there's no rust/pitting/corrosion so the accessories last the lifetime of the vehicle. If someone is going to make that massive of an investment on the vehicle, they're going to want the quality of the accessories they buy to reflect that.I'd be curious what the cost increase might be to make these with a corrosion proof stainless steel. For the value added, I usually pay more for stuff that doesn't rust. For the same reason, it irks me that Rivian didn't use SS for the hitch too.
Which specific rustoleum product? I just got a new replacement set and looking to be proactive as my first ones rusted out pretty bad.Mine are 2 years old, showed rust on pipes full length, not due to any damage, after 1 year, masked & sprayed them with rustoleum, & doing fine. Flat plates are doing fine. But then I don't do many gravel roads either.
