Over a year later & still looking for a pano roof shade that fits my R1S

I am having the same issue. It is at least 2 to 4 inches too big each way. I have been emailing with them and they’re only offering an 80% refund and they said I could keep it. I don’t want to keep it because it’s too big that I can’t actually use it.

Tariff uncertainty has put a dent in my timeline for now. I might go through and put a small order of 20 pieces In next couple weeks to see how much it would cost including shipping / customs.

I am pretty sure when I spoke to the manufacturer they made sure G2 3D scans were updated.

They also let me know they had good feedback on Gen 2 but I believe that was SUV.

This is why I want to buy like 20 pieces and have different generations / models Rivian forums owner try out the latest designs with the upgrades that I mentioned earlier and let me know their thoughts.

Would they buy it again? Would they use it daily? Would they gift it to a friend / family member?

My answer is yes to all of the above for Gen 1 SUV with black shade for Ocean Coast interior.

I believe the Grey / Silver shade will make the cabin a little brighter compared to the black version. That comes down to personal preference.

The local Rivian owners admin likes black shade with Ocean coast interior and I am leaning towards that as well when I really want to block out as much light as possible and grey when I want to just block heat / sun hitting my glasses and let the cabin be a little brighter / match the ocean coast interior.

I can save a set for you for sure which is what I am using in my SUV daily after trying way too many sets that never quite fit right or function right.

This should work out well because I have the exact same set.

The only thing I am adding for all members is the extra upgrades to help with ensuring we don't have any sag when we lower all the windows down all the way on the highway at 80 mph. The upgrades will ensure stability and anti-sag.

I have tested SUV and Truck and we are all very happy and using it full time. Now I want to improve it slightly for edge case / stability at high speeds and all windows down before scaling up.

I really don't understand this roof shade dilemma. It seems like a total pain, and it's such an eyesore.

A high-quality tint job will reduce the heat dramatically, and you still get the benefit of the panoramic glass.

I've had zero issues with multiple Teslas, and a Sierra Denali EV.
