I have something similar (knock-off, center console drawer). It came with really, really crappy adhesive strips that held it in place for all of about an hour. My solution was to get a pack of EzPass RFID Velcro strips. I attached three sets to the back of the drawer unit, and it has been stuck in place ever since; no rattling, no bouncing.

Yup, Rivian uses a low energy plastic, meaning that it's hard to make anything stick to it. I've ordered and tested about 20 different types of double sided tape before I found one that works So, just saying - ours work, I've been using mine for about a month now and no issues. I then removed it just before shooting the video and left no residue either.

Yup, Rivian uses a low energy plastic, meaning that it's hard to make anything stick to it.

I was almost to the point of using two shallow pan screws up through the bottom of the drawer, but I did not want to take any chances of destroying anything behind that part of the dash. Found my pack of industrial Velco (these keep the EzPass stuck the windshield) and went that route. It's been a couple of weeks...

Hope there will be a design for us early adopter but probably doesn't make business sense for you guys to make a product for a very limited customer base.

Yes, but I think there is a design that will work for both, I just need a Rivian with that port to see how things fit and make changes... so I fully expect the design (and based on experience probably packing too) will change once we get some feedback

Hopefully the new redesign can accommodate using the 12V charger either via USB cable or somehow integrate a wireless charger ... one can dream right?

Nice accessory. Just placed my order. It’s perfect for wallet/sunglasses. It’s hard to access sunglasses in the floor tray when cups are in the cup holders. Also don’t like using the charging pad b/c my phone is always there (and also my wife’s since we always take the R1-T when we go someplace

Don’t know if it helps but mine has the 12v and was delivered 12-26-2022 with VIN 156xx

If it were me, I would get the tray and drill a hole in it for the plug. That would mean if something is not plugged into the socket, small items could slide out. But if only used for sunglasses, that won't happen.

Oh wow! I didn't realize that so many have it. I will check Turo if someone has a 2022 Rivian to be on the safe side.

When installing I noticed the display is not centered with the armrest. LOL. Obviously intentional to give the driver a little more room, but I never noticed that before.
