Great decision!

I believe the Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT is listed under all the different 20" wheel options. Here are some images of the software options...

Thank you for the info. I didn't realize doing this resets the computers... But all good and the Goodyears are like night and day vs. the Pirelli's..... Thanks for all of your help!

Thank you to everyone in this thread (and Goodyear.) Just did the swap from the Pirellis on my 20” wheels, and … holy crap. The lack of noise is incredible, and they definitely run less harshly. Excited to put more miles on ‘em.

Joined the club just today. So much quieter! Wheels needing balancing as well, so now the steering wheel feedback is way better as well. Couldn't be happier.

@B Digs - OK, I'm ready to pull the trigger on replacing my Scorpions with almost 36k miles but I can't seem to configure this tire on Costco/Discount Tire/Tire Rack. I can get to the tire on the Goodyear.com site but my only option there is "Tires + Installation" and (of course) there are no area Installers with the tires in stock but there is a Goodyear Auto Service in Bellevue WA about 5 miles away.

I also have a service appointment at Rivian Bellevue on October 20th - one of the items is to rotate tires, but I suppose I could try to get swap tires done then.

What would you recommend?

You didn't tag me, but I'm gonna chime in and try to help......you know, because discussion forum and all :D.

I've had really good luck with ordering from TireRack.com and then having a local installer of my choosing do the work. Find a local place that has a road force balancing machine, and talk to them ahead of time to ensure they know how to lift the truck, and have the right jack pucks to make it happen.

Here are the tires on TireRack.com

This site lets you find reputable shops in your area with the Road Force Balancing Equipment.

@2kwik4u thank you for that - that’s looking like the approach where you drive around with a bunch of tires, “do your own research”, and have to put together a solution - I’m really hoping for a more integrated approach with a track record - warranty/service/etc. I guess I can wait until others do the trailblazing. :)

I guess I don't understand the level of service you're looking for. Not certain how this is "do your own research" to put together a solution. I mean, if you're asking for opinions about tires in an online enthusiast forum, aren't you already doing "your own research" anyway?

I personally wouldn't trust anyone to do a "concierge" level of service here, aside from maybe Rivian themselves. quite literally everyone else that does this work is just an independent contractor.

I've been putting tires on ICE vehicles this way for literal decades now. Find the tires I want, have them drop shipped to a trusted local service shop after purchase. Drive truck there, pay for the service of having them installed, drive truck home.

Hi Keith, sorry to hear the tire buying process has been a hassle.

You might try giving the Goodyear Auto Service in Bellevue a call directly at (425) 747-9353. Even if the tires don’t show as in stock online, they may be able to order them for you and schedule installation.

As @2kwik4u mentioned, ordering from TireRack and having the tires shipped to a trusted local installer is another solid option. Many folks have had good luck with that approach.

Also not asked directly, but giving advice anyway 🙃

If you want Discount Tire, I would go in person and ask them to find in their system or another like Tire Rack, order, and once they're in they can schedule you.

I've been driving an R1S with 22's instead of my R1T with the Goodyears for a few thousand miles now. I honestly can't tell you how much I miss my T with the 20" Goodyears. The only thing I like better about the S is the slightly tighter turning radius. I can't wait to get my truck back. The GY's complement the truck so nicely for the way I drive it.

Put 20" Territories on my R1T, and I think (after 1,000 miles) that they are giving similar mileage to my previous 22" Scorpions. Of course, not able to tell due to the software update that has my trip meter reading 1.61 miles/kWh while my 15 minute read is consistently around 2.50 miles/kWh. I love my Rivian, but software uniformly sucks everywhere all the time. From phones, to cars, and "customer service" and banks. Software "engineers" are the achilles heel in all products, because their "managers" are incompetent. I'll update my efficiency when Rivian updates its software. SMH

@B Digs I just noticed that the Territory ATs are on the Tire Rack site - and now I'm thinking that I might have been searching for 275/65 when these are 275/60. Since you were involved with the development of these tires, can you comment on why the smaller diameter was chosen?

I just did slightly under 900 miles on my R1T going between San Francisco and LA. We took 101 down and I5 back. Up until the last 200 miles, we were getting about 2.2-2.5 miles/kWh on the trip which is about 10-12% better than the original Pirelli's. During the last 200 miles we were driving directly into a 20+ MPH headwind and the overall trip efficiency dropped to about 2.16 according to the trip computer.

On the original tires, it used to be 200 miles range at 70% SoC, and now the computer is saying about 214 miles at that sale 70%.

Between improved efficiency, no more screaming howl, a nice looking sidewall, and about $200 cheaper than the Pirelli's, these tires are a winner in my book.

Stupid question here.

I have the stock Pirelli 20in AT's on my truck now. I've driven an R1S with the 22in stock setup.

What do you like about the 20in Goodyears over the 22in stock setup? I found those to be pretty pleasant and MUCH nicer than the stock 20in AT's. Are the Goodyear AT's that much better than the 22's?
