Maybe. I thought I read somewhere it said the wheel package being the holdup but based on some deliveries that can’t be it. I ordered the following accessories as well:I ordered a Storm Blue R1S Launch Edition with bronze wheels on July 8, the day of launch..I have heard nothing from Rivian but a bunch of spam..it's i only a littie more than 2 weeks after all. The charger arrived. It will be installed in my home next week.
I ordered some extras for delivery with the vehicle. Do you suppose that could cause a delay?
Apparently Storm Blue with 20” Black A/T and 22” Bronze configurations are not built. Was the sales show room 2 days ago and the sales rep pretty much confirmed that my original 1 - 3 weeks delivery is definitely not going to happen since it’s already 2 weeks. So looking like it‘lol definitley be more like 6 weeks for delivery. Their production schedule system is horrible and sales rep agreed.Congrats!
Did you order an R1S Launch Edition?
I’m surprised you don’t have a VIN yet. My impression was that Rivian would have to work to move these at this price point right now.
That said, I was surprised non-Launch edition options became available so quickly.
It’ll be worth the wait!
Received a text last night saying a VIN was assigned and the delivery team will reach out within 72 hours. The 8 step purchase process hasn’t started even though the text said I should see it.R1T Quad Max
Storm Blue/Slate Sky + Walnut
20” A/T Dark Wheels
Reservation: Yes
Ordered/Confirmed: 7-16-2025
Was also told I would hear something in a couple of days but nothing yet.
Shrink,I didn’t see a Quad Max delivery tracker thread yet, so I figured I’d start one.
I went ahead and ordered an R1T after a test drive this weekend. I’ll be trading in my beloved OG 2022 Gen 1 Quad Large R1T (with preorder pricing).
With apologies to those who put down a deposit a year ago, my order was apparently immediately matched to a vehicle, which I was told is currently in Southern California so not far from delivery that will be in Tempe, AZ.

Yeah, I actually got assigned a VIN within minutes after ordering. I had been talking to a sales rep for a few months prior. I'm sure that helped, but once I placed the order on 7/14/2025, my rep matched me to a vehicle. He said at the time it was the only R1T in the country in Storm Blue with Dune Wheels. I'm sure there are more by now, but I guess the vehicle was en route to CA and then was re-routed to me in Phoenix, AZ.Shrink,
Thanks for starting the delivery tracker. We have similar history's.
Do you have a VIN?
Here is my story...
"I ordered and configured my 2026 R1S LE Quad on July 2, 2026. The Sales person at the Service Center told me, in person, it may get delivery in August 2025 or 3-6 weeks. I was excited and looking forward to having it in my possession by now. In comparison, I waited 25 months for the 2022 LE from configuration day to delivery. During that 25 month wait period, I forgot about it until I was called with a VIN. Then I became excited. This time around, my excitement is waning each day. The order is for the S LE launch green with Bronze wheels. I'm trading in my 2022 R1T Quad LE."
All indications are the the non-launch editions are available with VIN's now in the online store. Seems odd, how Rivian is rolling out their units.
Safe adventures, Mike
