I ordered a Storm Blue R1S Launch Edition with bronze wheels on July 8, the day of launch..I have heard nothing from Rivian but a bunch of spam..it's i only a littie more than 2 weeks after all. The charger arrived. It will be installed in my home next week.
I ordered some extras for delivery with the vehicle. Do you suppose that could cause a delay?
Maybe. I thought I read somewhere it said the wheel package being the holdup but based on some deliveries that can’t be it. I ordered the following accessories as well:

Wall Charger
Dark Crossbars

Just scheduled my delivery for 8/14 in Atlanta. I had a tri-max order that I had postponed for a year, and debated whether I truly wanted another Quad. If my Lucid Gravity order had come available before the Quad showed up, I was likely going to take that vehicle instead. Looks like I'll be back in a Rivian again :)

Congrats!

Did you order an R1S Launch Edition?

I’m surprised you don’t have a VIN yet. My impression was that Rivian would have to work to move these at this price point right now.

That said, I was surprised non-Launch edition options became available so quickly.

It’ll be worth the wait!
Apparently Storm Blue with 20” Black A/T and 22” Bronze configurations are not built. Was the sales show room 2 days ago and the sales rep pretty much confirmed that my original 1 - 3 weeks delivery is definitely not going to happen since it’s already 2 weeks. So looking like it‘lol definitley be more like 6 weeks for delivery. Their production schedule system is horrible and sales rep agreed.

I ordered a Storm Blue Launch Edition with the 22" Bronze wheels on Friday, July 11 and still have no delivery estimate. I contacted support twice via text and they cant give an update other than it's the Bronze wheels that are causing the delay. It's been 3 weeks and the estimate at order time was 3-6 weeks so still within range but not super hopeful I'll see the vehicle by the end of August ...

Was also told I would hear something in a couple of days but nothing yet.
Received a text last night saying a VIN was assigned and the delivery team will reach out within 72 hours. The 8 step purchase process hasn’t started even though the text said I should see it.

I ordered and configured my 2026 R1S LE Quad on July 2, 2026. The Sales person said, in person, it may get delivery in Mid August 2025 or 3-6 weeks. I was excited and looking forward to having it in my possession by now.
In comparison, I waited 25 months for the 2022 LE from configuration day to delivery. During that 25 month wait period, I forgot about it until I was called with a VIN. Then I became excited. This time around my excitement is waning each day. The order is for the Quad S LE launch green with Bronze wheels. I'm trading in my 2022 R1T LE.
All indications are the the non-launch editions are available with VIN's in the R1 online store. Seems odd that Rivian is rolling out their units, non-LE before LE's?

Some have speculated that the problem is the Bronze rim backorder. It's too bad Rivian won't tell us loyal customers what's up.

If anyone has received the LE please post here.
Safe adventures

I didn’t see a Quad Max delivery tracker thread yet, so I figured I’d start one.

I went ahead and ordered an R1T after a test drive this weekend. I’ll be trading in my beloved OG 2022 Gen 1 Quad Large R1T (with preorder pricing).

With apologies to those who put down a deposit a year ago, my order was apparently immediately matched to a vehicle, which I was told is currently in Southern California so not far from delivery that will be in Tempe, AZ.

R1T Quad Max
Storm Blue/Slate Sky + Walnut
20” Dune Satin A/T
VIN 42656

Scheduled Delivery and Location:

Saturday, 8/9/2025
Tempe, AZ
Shrink,
Thanks for starting the delivery tracker. We have similar history's.
Do you have a VIN?
Here is my story...

Yeah, I actually got assigned a VIN within minutes after ordering. I had been talking to a sales rep for a few months prior. I'm sure that helped, but once I placed the order on 7/14/2025, my rep matched me to a vehicle. He said at the time it was the only R1T in the country in Storm Blue with Dune Wheels. I'm sure there are more by now, but I guess the vehicle was en route to CA and then was re-routed to me in Phoenix, AZ.

Delivery is still scheduled for this Saturday, 8/'9. I've completed all the steps except final payment, which I plan to do on Wednesday or Thursday - after confirming delivery is still on track.

I think I just got lucky. I picked a configuration that was already built and in my part of the country so it was matched to me.

I do find the build out odd, though. It seems like Rivian is prepping the factory for a Gen 2 Quad Max production run of both Launch Editions and non-Launch editions at the same time. If an early Launch order didn't get matched to an initial build, I'm guessing the remaining Launch Editions and initial non-Launch Gen 2 Quads will start being delivered in mid 9-2025.

I thought Rivian would crank out the remaining Launch edition orders first. Someone posted in another thread that the Launch R1S's in Storm Blue are sold out in certain parts of the country.

Hang in there. I'm sure you'll be loving your new Quad very soon!

Early Congrats!

Well, my delivery originally scheduled for Saturday, 8/9 in Tempe, AZ was just delayed.

Womp. Womp.

From the Phoenix Delivery Team:

It looks like there was an update from the rail company, ETA is now expected for the 13th. It sounds like there may have been a railcar shortage that delayed its arrival, I'm very sorry it's not ideal news but we'll definitely want to get you rescheduled.

Just got a VIN for my 2026 Quad LE.
Expected delivery End of August 2025.
VIN xx0688
LE w LG w 22 Bronze wheels

BUT, I was quoted a new trade in value $2,240 less than the quote when I confirmed my order on 7/8/2025. I get that the Rivian quote is only good for 30 days. Furthermore, Its should be to my benefit that I reported less miles on my new quote than I did for the original quote because I built into my original request more miles than was actual, at the time. I am unhappy because Rivian did not deliver, as they offered, within the 30 day period. Why bother to offer a trade in during the configure stage if they can't deliver? Too bad for me.
