Of 2023! RJ was pretty clear “vehicles with a Max pack battery configuration will follow in 2023”I'm still betting that we'll see the earliest maxpack r1ts in May. March would be incredibly surprising, but I'm betting May.
I do think it was very nice for them to offer Explorer trim levels the ability to upgrade and get their vehicles earlier. I doubt other auto manufacturers would be so kind enough to do that.
That's Explorer pack, correct?Of 2023! RJ was pretty clear “vehicles with a Max pack battery configuration will follow in 2023”
Maybe we got different emails. Mine says, with emphasis added, “To bring added clarity and better understanding to delivery timing, in early 2022 we are introducing a new feature on your Rivian Account Page that will display your current delivery timing estimate. The information will be tailored specifically to you and the exact vehicle you configured. Our goal is to give you accurate, up-to-date details about your specific preorder so you can better plan and stay more informed.”The email also states that they will "begin" to send up delivery windows via email later today. Hopefully they begin and finish today with that.
I believe we have the same email. 2 paragraphs above the one you quoted says this, which is why I mentioend the email today:Maybe we got different emails. Either Adventure or Explorer with Max battery. That's Explorer pack, correct?
No, I'm pretty sure Adventure trims will see 2022 delivery.Either Adventure or Explorer with Max battery.
You are both correct, just looking at different parts of the same email. My email has both of those bits of text. "We will begin sending Adventure and Explore Package preorder holders their estimated delivery window later today" and "in early 2022 we are introducing a new feature on your Rivian Account Page that will display your current delivery timing estimate."Maybe we got different emails. I can understand being upset if you have an Explore package, but this is standard practice. Just look at the Hummer, Lightning, and Alleged CT. All will be prioritizing most expensive models first with lower trim models following later. Lucid did it as well.Ah yes, we have a general pool of preorders, we can't fulfill a lot of them because we can only make one type right now so let's give them the opportunity to pay us MORE money to get one. How nice.

It wasn't explicit but that's how I interpreted it. They have said all along that reservation date is the #1 driver of delivery timing, so switching from max pack to large/adventure for a 2018 preorder holders would probably put them into the April/May timeframe on an R1T.Good email to set expectations properly, I appreciate that (as a Max pack reservation holder).
One thing I think could be made more clear would have been stating whether or not adjusting your configuration from Max/Explore --> Adventure+Lg today or at any point would result in a sooner delivery. I think it's suggested by mentioning 2018/19 holders will have the opportunity to switch, but could be more clear as the website allows you to switch, and I'm guessing a non-zero amount of people are going to do that today.
