It underscores that they’re a DIFFERENT business, with a different target audience. McDonald’s and Thomas Keller aren’t chasing the same customers.It makes them a better business, not a better product. Just saying many businesses with a superior product still end up failing.
The original point is this:
Just because CTs sell more doesn’t mean they’re a superior product, no matter how much glue they use to hold them together. In this metaphor, Tesla is McDonald’s and Rivian is Thomas Keller’s French Laundry.
