Any chance you will offer a discount to folks who want to upgrade from the prior version of the TopoCharge?

Rivian Subwoofer Installation Kit

https://soonishev.com/products/soonishev-subwoofer-enclosure-box-and-wiring-the-tubthumper

We like to call this "The Tubthumper."

As car guys who like nice sounding audio, even the Meridian systems in our launch edition R1Ts felt... lacking. As it turned out, the anemic OEM subwoofer comes installed in a plastic box, and sorely lacks wattage.

After some finagling, we've come up with this MDF Felted box that makes a WORLD of difference to your truck's audio.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your truck MUST have a subwoofer for this kit to work. This means "Meridian" or "Rivian Premium Audio". If you have just the stock audio system, it lacks the needed outputs and wiring for this kit to be installed.

SoonishEV TopoCharge Wireless Phone Charger for Gen2 Rivian Vehicles

We have also updated out TopoCharge Gen2 Charger. We have gone to an injection molded design, that sits lower in the center console, we made the top mat thicker and it locks into the vehicle, PLUS it comes to a knife edge to make it the transition to the wood look more flush. We have taken everything we have learned from previous designs and applied it here.

Note: We have stopped including the charging pucks as we now support 25 watt charging through Apple Magsafe pucks or PixelSnap pucks. I HAVE LOTS to say about this btw if people want to know more.
Is there a version of this soonishEV charger for the Gen 1 (R1T)?

Any thoughts about just upgrading the speaker with a slightly larger speaker? Without all the other stuff? 😆
You would have to use a 6x9 sub that is better than the factory one, with depth and magnet size that will clear internal dimensions of the factory enclosure (unknown unless you pull it out, remove factory 6x9 to see what you've got to work with). And then cover the enclosure with deadening mat. I'd even add some poly-fill to the inside of the enclosure. Would end result be worth it? No clue until you try. I'd like to try it some day, along with the doors and door speakers, but it's just not a priority right now.

Just watched the video, question: Back in the day I sold car audio for a living but it was 20 years ago and we always put the fuse within 18 inches of the battery, it looked like you put the fuse in the cabin, after 20 Plus years away from car audio I'm wondering if the 18" from the battery fuse location is still a thing....I think also they did it near the battery because if you chafe the wire on the firewall for example the fuse needs to be between that failure point and the battery.

Fuse is literally within 8" of the battery. Gen2 it's under the seat.

In Gen1 we put it next to the battery along the firewall

Ahh I also meant to say " I ran out of time watching the video" and I figured there was an obvious reason for it" but had to hop on a conference call LOL

The sub kit is a good deal for people wanting an almost turnkey solution. My only concern is putting more strain on that weak ass battery Rivian supplies by adding more load to it.

I am 90% sure I am going to do the subwoofer upgrade when I get some time to work on the truck later this year, or early next. I will probably reverse the door speaker polarity first, since that will improve the impact this new subwoofer provides.

Once I have a baseline of what it sounds like with the front speakers in phase with the rear, then I will most likely do the subwoofer. I just worry because this is a leased vehicle, my first. I am used to just doing whatever I want to my vehicles, and now that I don't technically own it, it makes me pause. I hate leasing. Never again.

The dc-dc charger does a good job helping in that department. Also there are several people running much larger loads on the OEM battery.
