He has a fixated obsession with Rivian too. I wonder how much he was paid to generate content. Kind of timely how Rivian has a 30% bump and he drummed up that "reminder" that it's down 90% since IPO.

Most of this crap is to dump the stock price. There's a hedge fund somewhere screwing with the market as Rivian is trading sideways. Rivian isn't prominent or well-connected enough to make a significant impact on the broader economy, but it's large enough to generate profits nonetheless. The stock drops down to $ 8-$ 11, then up to $ 17-$ 20, and then articles like this start pouring out, and it goes back down to $ 8-$ 11.

I don't mind that they are messing with Rivian stock right now, as I'm making money trading the peaks and valleys. Rivian is a relatively safe stock to invest in, as it has a decent cash runway and a promising future. Investing in them now means there is a lower risk of taking a major hit, barring a significant market correction or future goals not being met by Rivian.

This is all providing that you got in at a reasonable price. Right now, the stock is about what the company is worth, give or take a bit, so there shouldn't be a correction without outside action.

Stocks go up and down. Though I say $rivn isn’t really worth the price here. Strong indications of just a pump driven by short term momentum

$RIVN may be one of the easiest stocks to swing trade in recent memory. My personal strategy has been to hold a decent sized block of shares and sell covered calls. Rinse & repeat with all these short term bounces in the $12-$16ish ranges. Current cycles tend to pop at start of week, dump at end of week, and I usually play 2 weeks out with the exception of some LEAPS on bigger runs.

Have used the strategy to already cover my basis (and then some) in the underlying shares -- thanks in large part to some very good timing on selling 12/26 30cs when the stock exploded in July 2023 -- so basically just playing with house money moving forward.

I do think there's long term upside potential for the stock at current average prices in the channels the stock has been trading, but also perfectly content if I get assigned (and confident there will be another re-entry opportunity around the corner if that does happen).

Edit: Didn't see your comment before I posted but exact same sentiment. If you take emotion & recklessness out of trading, there are opportunities on pretty much every stock, and $RIVN just happens to be one of the more predictable trades at the moment (which is great for those of us who also don't mind holding the underlying shares at current prices).

Saw this article and had to post it. If anyone else wanted a good chuckle, there is some gold being forecasted at the end.

Unhinged is how I would best describe it, but I'm sure they are far more creative people out here. Not that I've cared for Yahoo Finance for a while, but this is downright embarrassing.

I would love to see his short position on Rivian Stock. -- The R2 will destory the Model Y (PoS) and the other competitors in the segment. I have owned 2 Tesla's they are garbage. My R1 is handsdown the best SUV I have ever owned. -- Prior SUVs include; two Range Rovers, A Porsche Cayanne, A porsche Macan, and Tesla Model X (JUNK). No mention of Elon Musk's $1T Pay package. -- the writer is a joke!
