Does anyone have experience with the WatchMyRiv app available for the Apple Watch? I have an Apple Watch Ultra 3 with an activated cellular plan. It would be great if it could be used for some basic Rivian functions.

Don’t waste your money. I’ve tried it and trouble shot with the developers and it never works.
Well… that’s a bummer! Thanks for sharing your experience. šŸ™ƒ

There was another app (gen 1) but I don’t think that developer is still supporting it. Probably not enough takers/subscribers. If you have gen2, best to wait for Rivian’s official support for WatchOS. Aren’t some widgets possible already? When watch is tethered to your phone?

I have a Gen 1 R1T Quad. I guess I mistakenly thought that since I have an Apple Watch Ultra 3 with cellular plan that I could use it similar to my iPhone. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Not supported by Rivian. Prior to gen2 launch, Wassym said WatchOS support iā€s comingā€ multiple times. Then at gen2 launch the mob got doused with gasoline and lit on fire. In a way he was telling the truth. He just didn’t say it’d require a new car.

I turned one of my keycards into a ring, for convenience. It works well whenever the vehicle is awake/aware enough to respond promptly. But the business that did the conversion doesn’t offer the service anymore. Not enough demand.

It’s a shame because there are millions of Apple Watch users that would benefit from at least being able to lock/unlock their vehicles. My iPhone battery ran out recently (from playing golf with my gps on) and I couldn’t get in my truck. If I could have used my iPhone that would have been awesome.

Agree. But there probably isn’t enough incentive—security, hardware capability or whatever—in gen1 for them to pursue it.

I use WaaKey and it works great on Gen1. You have to be in Bluetooth range but I’ve used it to unlock and drive when I didn’t have my phone.

Is that an App in the AppStore?

Yes, but for the Watch only. The watch has its own App Store app on the watch itself. You can search for it in the iPhone but you may have to search and download it directly from the watch.

Since iOS 26/watchOS 26, I can’t use iPhone password keeper/keyboard to paste my password into Waak on Apple Watch Ultra 3. I have a complex password and haven’t found the patience to type it in manually like an animal.

Waak was working well enough when I was logged in.

Yes, similar here. I downloaded the Waakey app without any issues, but the app keeps telling me it "failed to sign in," even though I have carefully typed in the information on the watch. I know the sign-in credentials are correct, as I even signed in to the Rivian site using these login credentials. My password isn't super complicated, so I guess I'm screwed.

It mostly works, but is not good, not truly reliable. The UI lies; meaning that it shows old stale data most of the time, while making it look like it has refreshed. For me it's just a backup to the phone, and it does that. You may have to stand right by the car to make it work, but if you do, it always works. The remote stuff is 50/50 at best (doing it over internet/cellular).
