These headlights really work overtime, and you can see just how much when driving in fog. They're like old-timey Hollywood Klieg lights! (Google it, youngsters.)

Exciting back in the day! But we called them search lights in Kansas when I was a kid. Probably because of all the WWII films.

Back in the day we had to use carbide lamps. None of this newfangled electric light stuff
Carbon arc follow spots, like a welder in a can - for illumination only- you definitely did not want to weld with it.
