2.5 Year Old OE Scorpion AT Tire looks like a 6 year old tire

i noticed cracks in my front left tire today, and further investigation shows all 4 tires have these cracks. 30k miles.This is consistent around the entire circumference of the tire. The rubber looks like it is a 6 year old aged tire. I've never seen this on any 2.5 year old tires in my entire life.

I think the weight of the truck has a lot to do with it - I spoke to a local tire shop that was swapping my all seasons and putting my winters on and they said after this winter (2nd one) that I would need to get new tires since the treads had been worn out...I am 34k between 2 sets (all season and winters) and both need to replaced soon.

I wonder if this is partially a result of the "EV" specific rubber compounds? I'm no materials scientist but this still seems like a relatively new area of focus?

Every time I've dealt with Pirelli, I've been shocked by how poor the quality is. Both my Rivians and my wife's BMW have factory Pirelli tires, and they are all shit. This doesn't surprise me at all.

Certainly not the first brand I think of whenever I shop tires. And like nearly all Italian brands, they price their products like they don't stink.

Same experience. Tyres are rubbish. I just get them for the calendars.

These might be heavy and cause the "early wear but staggered tyres on sports cars run out at about 8-10k.

I just replaced my original 20" Pirelli AT's with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 - I had just over 48K on them and they had to be close in age to yours (we picked Rosey up in August 2023). I now regret not looking more closely at them. I took this photo the morning I swapped them out, but it doesn't show any unusual cracks (I was mostly interested in how they looked):

The new Michelins are silent and we're getting a much smoother ride, but they're just tires...The AT's were TIRES that everyone noticed!

Looks bad and yet I would continue to get some distance on those.
I am a bit crazy like that.

I'm not too concerned about it, just disappointed and the 2nd time I have had less than postive results with Pirellis. I had PZero Neros on my BMW at one point and they got bubbles on the side which was a bigger concern. On these there's still 3k - 5k miles left on the treadwear. I'll keep an eye on it and run 'em.
