Hi everyone,

My name is Jason, and I’m a Rivian owner and the designer behind JC310Designs.

I’ve owned an R1T since 2022. Over time, I started noticing small areas where added organization and usability could improve the ownership experience — without compromising the clean OEM feel Rivian nailed from the factory.

A lot of these products started as solutions for how my wife and I use our Rivian on road trips and everyday adventures.

That’s what led me to begin designing custom 3D-printed accessories specifically for the R1T and R1S.

Update – Introducing Gen 2 (Based on Real-World Feedback)

After a lot of real-world use and great feedback from customers here, I’ve made some updates to the sliding center storage unit and am now rolling out a Gen 2 version, offered in both a modular divider configuration or a clean open layout.

What’s new:

  • Reinforced areas to better support larger, heavier bottles
  • Increased cup holder size (now fits up to ~91mm)
  • Compatible with bottles like Nalgene, YETI, Hydro Flask, etc.
  • Working toward modular adapters for smaller bottle sizes

For Gen 1 owners:
I really appreciate all the support and feedback, this update came directly from you guys. Gen 1 is still a great setup, especially for standard bottle sizes. If you’re running larger bottles and want to upgrade, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help however I can.

Sliding Center Floor Storage Unit

A precision linear-rail storage system that mounts between the driver and passenger seats. It slides smoothly, locks securely while driving, maintains full camp speaker and drawer access. You can choose the standard open layout or add six modular dividers (3 large / 3 small) to fully customize the storage layout.

Kinda cool. I 3D print too so always like to see what other people come up with.

These look awesome!

I'm slightly confused though, in some of the photos of the color options, it looks like the, uhh, "lower" cubbies, have two different designs (not referring to the adjustable cubby version). One slanted and one with a vertical wall (near the cup holders).

Sorry for the confusion. I just checked the photos on the site. Yes the smaller cubby design has change. The first generation cubbies (tan / sage green) had a lower opening in the front. Due to customer feedback I increased the height as seen in the (black and blue/black) combination.

Rivian R1T R1S R1T / R1S Sliding Center Storage System (Gen 2) by JC310Designs 1771291040338-n0

Placing my order now. Are they ready to ship?

so looking at the two, still confused about what the differences are. They say modular… the storage sizes seem different…? Are they completely adjustable?

This looks TERRIFIC. I've been wanting to add more cupholders (On long trips, we have two water bottles and two coffee cups). I have questions though:
  1. It would be great if you made a video of the whole 'installation' so we can see how big the whole thing is. It looks like the whole thing sits on a tray that then sits in the front compartment tray area. No issue of two heavy cups lifting it up and out, like on fast take off maybe?
  2. You mention no returns because each is custom made, but if all R1s have the same area, same spec, couldn't you accept a return if it just didn't work out for the buyer and then resell again assuming no damage or mark down a little as open-box?
I'm less interested in the return part, but it does give me pause. I'm ready to buy a black one, but would love to see an install vid first so I can get an idea of the whole thing, thanks! Great job!

Thanks for the order, I really appreciate it.

All units are built to order. Each one takes about 3–4 days to print and assemble. Due to current demand, new orders are expected to ship in approximately 10-14 business days.

Regarding the differences:

The standard version is an open layout with no dividers.

The modular version includes three removable dividers for the large compartment and three for the smaller compartment. Each compartment has preset divider slots built into the design. The dividers simply slide in and out, allowing you to create different sections or run it fully open.

The storage dimensions themselves do not change, the modular option just adds flexibility in how you organize the space.

Let me know if you have any other questions — happy to clarify anything.

I’ll put together a quick install video so you can see exactly how it sits securely in place.

The unit does not sit loosely in the tray area. It’s designed to fit securely within the space. Even with two full 40oz bottles, it does not lift or shift under acceleration. I’ve tested it under normal and poorly conditioned roads.

As for the return policy.

Each unit is built to order, and as a small business I print and assemble every piece myself. Because of that, I don’t keep inventory sitting on shelves everything is made specifically for each order.

Once installed and used, it’s difficult to resell as new, which is why returns are limited.

That said, all R1T and R1S interiors share the same dimensions in this area, so fitment is consistent. And if there were ever a defect or fitment issue, I would absolutely make it right.

My goal is long term reputation in this community, not one-time sales.

Awesome, thank you. It's for my wife's S and she keeps a lot of crap down there. Since I can't return, I want to make sure I see how it all goes in, how much space it leaves, etc. Black with removable storage and the flashlight dampener are in the cart.

On the tissue adapter, wouldn't that also work with cups/bottles that are thinner than your holders?

Cheers!
