Wild! This is like polar opposite of my experience.

That said, he did lose my valve caps.
I went in missing one, they added one to it. Maybe it was yours?

they discovered they didn't even have my new tires...
I got a call morning of my appointment to cancel bc they didn't have, I was told to call .com to get refund. After a back and forth between .com and the shop, turns out my tires were delivered later that day, so I rescheduled with the shop.

I love these tires but I don’t understand how you’re getting 2.4. I’m lucky to see 2.1 @ 75mph in moderate weather (60-70F). What temps and what wheels are you on?
Same here. I had it for almost 4K miles and it is around 2.1 as well. I swapped it out for the Michelin LTX M/2 instead.

@B Digs I finally made the jump and got your tires! Just hit 1k miles and so far, I'm happy.

It took a while for Goodyear website to get them in stock so I could order through USAA with 25% off, but I don't regret it one bit. They are much quieter and smoother than the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws, they definitely drive like AS on dry roads but handle like AT in inclement weather. The jury is out on efficiency, I can't get a good bead with our wonky spring weather but they seem to be in between AT and AS. The biggest reason for changing was 116 load index for towing.

For any locals, I also highly recommend the Goodyear shop in Silverdale. Great people in the shop, interesting atmosphere for people watching, and their night shift works on Amazon's fleet of EDVs so they are fully versed in all things Rivian and have heavy duty lifts!
Yes! Welcome to the club, @Riviot! Great to hear the tires are treating you well so far. I appreciate your feedback, and I hope they continue to deliver for you as the miles add up.

I just did the same thing, at the same place. My experience was a bit different...

They only have one tech who works on Rivians, but he seems to know his stuff. He even did the tire swap in software without me having to tell him how. That said, he did lose my valve caps.

I was supposed to get the tires swapped last week. After an hour and a half of waiting and already having the tires removed, they discovered they didn't even have my new tires... They were still in transit from Indiana even though I ordered them 2 weeks prior and the site said they were in stock. I had to reschedule for a week later due to the availability of a single tech. When he came in the next time, looked hung-over and wore his sunglasses the entire time.

The manager there spent the entire time for both visits on his phone and talking about bananas. He offered no remedies or apologies, only said it was 'dot com's fault even though they had the tracking numbers on my order and could have easily verified the status before waisting my Saturday.
@godfodder0901, I’m really sorry to hear your install experience turned into something far more stressful and time‑consuming than it should’ve been. Hopefully now that they’re finally on your Rivian, the tire performance feels like a meaningful upgrade.

100%. The Pirellis were Loud AF, and developed a habit of darting all over the lane with the seams in the road. I thought the alignment was off, but a few days on the Goodyears and it is no longer an issue.

I legitimately don't understand why anyone would choose the Pirellis over the Goodyears. I also can't fathom why Rivian refuses to install these on my Gen 1...

Hi all, yes this is indeed the link for the Goodyear tire developed specifically for Rivian. Unfortunately, the pictures on the website are not of the correct tire, but I can confirm this is the link for the Rivian tire with RIV on the sidewall.

I think im gonna pull the trigger on some territory's the next few weeks then get an alignment. RIP wallet but my tread is low and i cannot afford that danger.

anyways, ive looked up the rivian warranty regarding "switching" the oem 275/65/20 to 275/60/20 and rivian used a blanket statement:

"Installing tires that are not OEM equipment and in factory sizes may have negative warranty implications, regardless of installer."

Althought i did also read on other forums that although it may void warranty coverage if the damage is found to be caused by the tire switch, but rivian cant deny a warranty claim if the battery starts to fail.

have you had any warranty issues with switching tire size even if it's riv spec?

There are no warranty concerns when using the Goodyear tire that is an OEM Rivian‑approved fitment. It matches the factory size and load/speed specifications.
