Hello all, new here. I am intrigued by the adjustable support leg on the slide out gear tunnel. Does anyone have information on this, what it is, how it works or even better information online where it can be researched?

Thank you all for any info you can provide.

Right on their website. https://rivian.com/gear-shop/p/gear-tunnel-shuttle

Here's a pic. There are also TY vids that feature this in use as the leg is being pulled out and its height being adjusted.

Thank you for your reply. As I mentioned in my question. I'm interested in the 'support leg'. I found all the info about the truck and the pull out section. Maybe it is there and I missed it but I'm trying to find info on what the actual adjustable support leg is and if it can be bought separately. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to reply, i'm looking for info on the leg, not the system. Thanks

The leg comes as part of the Gear Shuttle. The Camp Kitchen sits on the Gear Shuttle and, yes, the Gear Shuttle can be purchased separately for ~$2,000 as part of the vehicle purchase.

it’s part of the gear shuttle.

Presumably at some point you’ll be able to buy the parts of the leg via rivian’s parts department, but why bother? It will be very expensive.

It is said to be made of unobtanium, the supply of which has been disrupted due to COVID - 1984. As a result, Rivian has been forced to delay the introduction not only the gear shuttle but also of the R1T and R1S for third party purchase. Given the sensitive nature of the materials involved, Rivian's communication on the delay has been circumspect, at best. They are expected to provide additional detail as they get closer to production. S 00 N.

Thanks everyone- a few understood my question and your answer was clear.
In all seriousness, welcome to the forums. I'm unaware of any information beyond what godfodder and crashmtb provided.

There have been no camp kitchens delivered on the employee trucks delivered to this point, at least not ones discussed in these forums. Hopefully these legs are sturdy and long-lasting. But we'll have to see about that. Once those start going out, there will be a lot more about the camp kitchen and gear shuttle.

I've been looking for this as well. I was hoping to find a support leg with the same 'step to extend' functionality since I'm designing my own kitchen system. Considering the other parts of the kitchen were mostly consumer available, it makes sense that the leg might not have been something Rivian designed in-house. That doesn't seem to be the case, though since it's so hard to find.

If you ever find it, let me know!
