I don't recall hearing that the gear guard could tell the difference between human and non-human things to activate. Hope you can disable that as an option, because I spend a lot of time in places where I would love to capture a vid of any wildlife that strolls by my truck. Then again, it also gives me an idea for how I can "borrow" one of your trucks so I don't have to wait another year for my max pack. I promise I'll return it just as soon as mine arrives.

when RJ said we are creating downstream demand for ocean plastic, I got the urge to throw some crap in the ocean to support Rivian.

Gear guard does not detect dogs. Now thieves will either come in on all fours or they start adopting and training K9s

Edit: screen coming on to tell the thieves security feature is recording you makes the car less secure. This is how they can tell it is not on.

I'm not normally a Sandy Munro fan, but it was a good watch. Couple interesting things I got from their talk that I hadn't heard before.

• You can change the height of the suspension up to 50 mph.
• Sport mode increases torque +20% from All-Purpose mode.
• The torque difference between the front and rear motors is due to gearing differences and the motors are actually identical. So Conserve mode only uses the front motors because it's a taller gear ratio to better optimize for higher speeds. The rear motor has a shorter gear ratio to optimize for acceleration since weight transfers to the rear anyway. RJ mentioned that the front motor / wheel torque is basically at a point where the tire and weight transfer is the limitation.

Personally, the timing of this video feels more like a 'throw the dog a bone' type of act that Rivian has become very good at.

Like someone already mentioned it, I don't remember the drain plug in the frunk. I'm happy to see that it's there. Other than that nothing else in there surprised me.

No. It's just to get RJ in front of the camera to appease his groupies. Who needs a delivery/production update when you can watch videos of RJ repeating stuff we already know.

Right! So annoying hearing his "I kinda like that" and "Thats ok" throughout the whole interview/demo. Just acted so unimpressed, even when he would specifically say he was impressed his face and tone wouldn't change. I know it was all live and on camera but RJ was very courteous and professional to those comments.

Sandy Munro has more experience in auto manufacturing than RJ may get in a lifetime. RJ crined a time or two as he knows as soon as Sandy gets an R1T they will tear it down and RJ sees it as his baby, why would you do that. Personally, I can't wait to see what's underneath the body in white since Rivian will not share any information on specs. How are they building their battery pack, what are the cooling capabilities as the ability to control the temperature in the pack affects so many aspects of the vehicle. The list goes on.
