Personally, the timing of this video feels more like a 'throw the dog a bone' type of act that Rivian has become very good at.

Damage control. Sandy is very opinionated and can sometimes vote by emotion rather than being objective. He has a lot of viewers on his own and other YouTube channels. It was smart of RJ to get ahead of this rather than waiting for them to get their R1T and say something negative because Sandy can’t turn something on.

Yes, unfortunately, that really needed a "soft close" latching mechanism to ensure both latches are securely fastened.

Yes, unfortunately, that really needed a "soft close" latching mechanism to ensure both latches are securely fastened.

Probably the very new weatherstripping keeping it from an easy close. I think it is supposed to be watertight.

Seemed a bit easier than any of our Tesla frunks... They are a pain to close without bending the hood. But, a soft-close option would be nice.

People want a manly truck but they don’t want to mess up their manicure when they close the cover. If I got R1T, it would be for the spare tire and I would’t expect to use it that often.

These guys aren't even trying, does this old fart not even bother to do 1oz of research before meeting the ceo of a company? I'd be embarrassed.
