FWIW I have a Jeep Gladiator with 35” tires, running boards and grab handles. I find it way easier to get into than the R1T. My kids can get into it really easily too. They do make a big difference.

Things happen I get it but as a passenger I haven't had issues with getting into the R1. Plenty of people can 't get into a 911, too low to the ground. Should they make a suspension that raises the vehicle so they can get in it? If the grab handles are deal breaker then look elsewhere. Some people won't touch and EV, or a car without CarPlay, or any other of the dozen reasons people don't buy a particular car. It isn't a safety issue its a choice.
Never said it was a safety issue. It's always been choice and preference. Just noticed everyone mentioning the driver's condition and not other passengers. Everyone's needs are different. I even said it doesn't matter to me, so not sure why you're replying to me.

I’ll say, despite what being told a couple times by reps, there’s zero evidence the past month that overhead handles are making an appearance.

Maybe someone who sees one of the production r2's charging or parked around their area can peek and see if they see any GH!!
lacking that: - theres a lack of grab handles in this video.

I think this video was made some time ago with the same vehicles making the rounds at SxSW and the road show. It doesn't really tell us anything new.

Photos from here (which at this point must be production spec) also dont show any: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...-pictures-block-party-public-sightings.58365/
And in this you can see front handles:
https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/no-grab-handles-on-r2.57297/post-972302

And in this video, if you pause just right (~10sec), you can see rear handles...
R2 @ SXSW | Rivian

So, as I said earlier, it either has all, some, or none with regard to grab handles.

All of the R2's at the road shows are labelled prototypes... so dunno. I'm still trusting what I've been told directly, that they will be there... we'll see. ;)

Sure, but everything we have seen to this point is as well...

I hope your source is right, and I think people a reading way too much into the images we've seen.

Didn't see any on the one that rolled off the line today, but hard to tell from the few pixels of the video.

If grab handles were included then it seems likely they would be in the animated renders on the website by this point. No reason why they wouldn't be, Rivian aren't starved for marketing resources to correct the animation if it needed it and the image includes plenty of other much smaller details. But I'm sure we'll know for sure long before anyone gets to take delivery.
