Note to all installing this: if not using the Y-RCA splitter. Connect the OEM adapter to the white input on the amp.

I didn't add that to the video and someone DM'd me that they had to do that.
This kicked my butt for a few hours. It’s the simple stuff. I disconnected and reconnected everything. Ended up buying a splitter from Best Buy for $6

@Flyinryan When you confirm that works... can you take a side view shot of the area? I may need to add that to the install video if things have changed on later R1's. The Gen2 I did the install in was an earlier model.

I used a ground that was sorta under the "gear track" in the back...I'm not sure if it's close enough to run the provided ground wire to the mounting space for the amp, but it was close enough to sit my amp in the sub trunk space above the spare tire space. There was nothing attached to this ground post on mine but then again mine is very modified so perhaps something is there on the stock gen 2.

I'm guessing a number of people have had a chance to do this over the weekend. How were the results? I have my kit and audio gear on order and am excited to hear what people's reaction is.

Makes a noticeable improvement once I figured out that you actually need to turn on the DSP on the amp. Didn't realize this until after watching a few other youtube videos about the amp. I wish I had picked a better spot for the amp makes making minor adjustments a pain.

Also, getting some minor feedback through the sub while the car is off. Will this drain my battery? Could it be my ground location? Anyone else experiencing this?
