  1. Tapping into 12v wiring by the frunk - formerly for 12v power outlet in frunk (DIY How-To Instructions)

I have a 2023 R1T built in June 2023, with NO power outlet in the frunk. The wiring harness leading into the front driver side of the frunk only contains two wires. They are for the frunk light. When tracing this harness backward toward the windshield, I discovered a connector about midway...
  2. Low throttle shudder

Not yet, but it is currently in service for this problem (I just turned it in yesterday). I'll post an update here, once they tell me what's wrong.
  3. Dual motor R1T vibrate/grind on acceleration.

I did make an appointment. It goes in Tuesday 1/21. I just need to convince service there is a problem.
  4. Dual motor R1T vibrate/grind on acceleration.

I don't think mine started as a result of tire rotation.
  5. Dual motor R1T vibrate/grind on acceleration.

Could be. It's very subtle and steady, though - the kind of rapid vibration you would get if you roll a toothed gear across a flat surface.
  6. Dual motor R1T vibrate/grind on acceleration.

I have a grinding or vibrating noise under 10mph, when accelerating or decelerating. It's much worse when towing a trailer, but started 1-2 months before I purchased the trailer. It is unchanged when in Conserve mode (front motors only). Did you ever find out what it was?
  7. Low throttle shudder

Mine has it. I notice it when under 10mph, whether accelerating or decelerating under regen. It is much more pronounced and obvious when towing a heavy trailer. I'm trying to figure out how to explain it to service, so they "get it". Last fall, they told me it was tire cupping, but it's not. I...
  8. I'll say it... Driver+ getting worse, not better

I'm suddenly getting all kinds of warnings about keeping my hands on the wheel. It's like the steering wheel sensitivity is failing to detect my hands, because they are definitely on the wheel before the warnings. This is very frustrating, because it is making Adaptive Cruise Control and...
  9. Water in door after recent rain

I have running boards, also, and they never even mentioned them.
  10. Water in door after recent rain

This is what service did for mine, this week. They described the water location as "rocker panels". ("Clunking" is their word. I told them I heard a dull thud, or bass drum type of sound.)
  11. Draining the *&@(#!*& doors

This is what service did for mine, this week: "Clunking" is their word. I told them I heard a dull thud, or bass drum type of sound.
  12. Water Sloshing Sound - Passenger Side

EDIT: Added service invoice. This is an old thread, but I have new info from Rivian: There are also plugs in the rocker panels! I was hearing a thud, or bass drum-type sound, every time during acceleration. Service diagnosed it and wrote back with this: “So we found there was water ingress...
  13. Addictive smelling wiper fluid mystery SOLVED! = Genuine Chemistry All Season Windshield Washer Fluid

Does anyone know the mixing ratio for this to be the same strength as Rivian's original? I created an account at GC, put the 4-gallon case in my cart, and it's $93.40 total (with tax and $25 shipping). I'm trying to figure out how many gallons I can get out of this, with it still being strong...
  14. DIY Tonneau Cover - PVC Fence Planks with Bedliner Coating

Thanks! I'm still glad I tried. The planks are sealed in pretty good with the expanding foam, so while not impossible, it would be very difficult to get all eight slider pieces out of them. Adding aluminum angle or tubing in the beginning would have been smart, but it also would have raised the...
