I tried searching and haven’t found anything but has anyone noticed a very slight shudder in the steering wheel at a certain point in the throttle? It’s always at the same point, ver low speed, either accelerating or braking and I swear it didn’t start until after the last update but I obviously can’t prove that.

I thought I had felt a shudder at low speeds. At first I thought it was the air compressor since it always kicks on when I leave the house but last time I waited for it to turn off before I drove down the street. At 3.5 to 4.5 mph I feel a shudder/rumble. I believe it might be electric motor cogging (something I saw in a youtube video review about a different ev). It seems to go away once the truck is fully warmed up. Anyways I have an appointment later this month to get it checked out plus another rumble/shudder that is felt while accelerating moderate to hard between 45 to 60 mph.

I just started to experience this exact same low speed shudder! I am hoping it’s software related as it started with the previous 22.47 update.
pleae update after you take it to service on what they say.

I have this exact same judder/shudder, or whatever you want to call it. It's exactly at 4mph that I notice it at very light throttle either accelerating or decelerating. You can feel it through the entire truck, but then it just goes away after a few minutes of driving.

I have a mobile service appointment schedule for the 22nd. I'm hoping I get the new update today or tomorrow, and maybe the issue will just go away.

I sense it too. Seems the motors and controls are in a bit of a fight once in a while. Hoping OTA fixes come for it.

Just got my truck back yesterday. They said the low speed shudder was a software issue.

A tech and their lead tech took out the truck to test the high speed shudder/rumble I feel under hard acceleration but said nothing abnormal was found/felt.

Just started getting this today at low speed (under 10mph). You can feel it in the entire car. Seems like the motors are not acting smoothly.

My ‘22 R1T tends to do this when I’m at full lock at low speed. I thought it was something to do with the wretched air suspension.

Mine has it. I notice it when under 10mph, whether accelerating or decelerating under regen. It is much more pronounced and obvious when towing a heavy trailer. I'm trying to figure out how to explain it to service, so they "get it".

Last fall, they told me it was tire cupping, but it's not. I was recently towing this camper, and stopped on an incline. When pulling away, under that heavier load, it was vibrating much faster than the tires could have produced (because they were barely rolling). That told me it was definitely the drivetrain, and not tires.

I have also put the truck in conserve mode, just to test whether there was a change, but it vibrated just the same. That tells me it's coming from the front end.

One idea for describing it: The rapid vibration you would get when rolling a hexagon-shaped pencil across a desk with your hand on top of it.

Does anyone have a better description?

Has anyone had service identify and fix this? I have an appointment in 4 days, and having the cause would save us all a lot of time.

P.S. It started 1-2 months before buying this travel trailer.

I've had this since day #1 and have found that I can repeat it when using very little accelerator input and trying to maintain ≈3mph. It feels like a harmonic shutter in the driveline to me. I have also noticed it quite a few times when accelerating hard from a roll. This may vary a little among vehicles dependent on wheel/tire/motor configuration.

Same here. Low speed vibration coming from the front motors. I started noticing it after an update approximately a year and a half ago. Has anyone gotten a definitive answer from Rivian regarding the issue?

Not yet, but it is currently in service for this problem (I just turned it in yesterday). I'll post an update here, once they tell me what's wrong.

I think I have the same issue and I took my truck in for service about it. They kept it for about a week while the technicians would try to recreate and determine what may be causing it. Eventually they came to the conclusion that it's related to regen and Hold/ABS when traveling at very low speed. You can get it to go away almost completely if you turn off hold mode (rock crawl lets you do this, I can't remember if other modes let you) and turn down regen.

End result was not anything to be concerned about, but I was the first to bring it to their attention up here.
