It can't. I'm on Maui where there is no service center, and most work is done by a mobile service technician. Rivian rents space from an auto body shop for bigger repairs, and that's where my truck had to go for the front damper replacement.
Turn on shipping mode and be sure your battery is charged no higher than the upper limit that Young Brothers allows (for Matson it was 65% iirc). Take a bunch of pictures of the interior and exterior before shipping.
I got mine today - first v1 replacement in all of Hawaii. I barely used my v1 knowing it could break, but some friends wanted a ride to the airport on a rainy day, so... Luckily it happened only a couple months ago, and now I have a replacement I can confidently use on the regular.

I attempted this on my tonneau but it treats the final long-press as a manual engagement, and it stops as soon as I let go. I can't get it to automatically recalibrate.

Has anyone here had mobile service work on a cracked windshield? From other forum posts on the mainland it seems shops like Safelite won't calibrate the cameras, and Rivian won't calibrate cameras on any windshield replacement performed by an unauthorized third party.
I'll contact Rivian next...
