I think this is a new bug, I never had an issue last winter. And it doesn’t effect DCFC.
basically the system won’t turn on the inverter. You don’t need to start charging he battery, you can you shore power to warm the battery, then start changing.
Inverters don’t have an issue with the cold...
That worked. Tried soft rest. Did not work. Went in the house, set timer for 5 minutes. Went out and plugged in and it worked.
no idea why. Does it expect DCFC and has to go to sleep to ignore that it was preconditioning for fast charging.
happy it’s charging and happy I know the steps to get...
Ok, preconditioning is on. Waiting for battery to get to 50 degrees. Failed over 30.
I was told (was in service center) once the AC charging is on it stays on. The temp is just stopping it for turning on.
It seems you lose a lot of power heating so I hope once it plugs
In it stays charging.
I just ran into this issue. I was told it’s a bug in the software that will not allow the charging. They are working on a fix.
how do you force preconditioning? Do I have to map to a DC and turn on preconditioning? My pre conditioning is disabled.
stupid question but I have never turned it on...
I have about 8,000 miles on long road trips. Easy. This was an issue with power line down and Tesla Supercharger out of order. The new electrify America was new and not on line yet.
plug share is the ticket. It was easy to find power, just needed to search. The disappointing part is Rivian did...
That is not what Rivian said, they said tow it before letting it run out of power. Rivian's app said the closest charger was 100+ miles away.
My point is Rivian did not tell me to search google for other chargers. Blink chargers appear to be at a lot of Chevrolet dealers.
Just took a road trip. Everything was great.
One comment. The trip planner took me to a closed charger. Small town. Less than 100 in range left (which I could never get) and the next charger is 100 miles away. Called Rivian to get advice. They said stop and tow before running out of power. That...
I want to give this a try. Wind is getting in and cause a black plastic trim piece to vibrate making a rattling noise.
the black trim came off and noise stopped if trim was jammed by door. Rivian replaced the piece that came loose. Rattle noise is back.
100% sounds like trim vibrating and...
