Still the best truck on their list.
R1S is missing because the competition is starting to eek ahead with either better pricing or better use-case fulfillment.
Wouldn't be surprised if R2 made number 1 next year.
Even still, I'm only seeing 15 results on Rivian Roamer for any new 2025 R1T (and clicking some of them says "this vehicle is no longer available"), so best case this is still an extremely exclusive offer.
I mean it's hardware capable as far as what's in the vehicle as stock. The Comma 3x just sends the software signal that says "it's OK to steer while driver assistance is enabled".
Yet again, I think this is a case where Gen1 is software limited due to MobilEye gatekeeping features. Which would...

Yes that's correct. J1772 is what you're looking for. Although I can't vouch for any particular adapters.
Just to clarify, the rivian adapter is wired for DC only. So don't attempt to use it on any AC charger (level 1 or 2).
It won't tell you that it's downloading, nor will it show you a progress bar for the actual download itself. It'll just get queued and download in the background. Once it's fully downloaded and staged, you'll get a notification that it's ready to install.
If you link your vehicle on Rivian...
On the default OpenPilot software, it's as @godfodder0901 said; the standard Rivian ACC is used for throttle-control, so the behavior on the steering wheel scroll wheels / buttons is the same.
Switching to the SunnyPilot software requires the upgrade harness in order to keep those steering...
This is also affecting rivian vehicles directly. The map in the vehicle will still route, but it takes like three times longer, and it won't load battery consumption information.
