Where are people getting their new tires installed? Is it America's Tire?

I'm 100% in agreement with OP regarding road trips with EVs. Last summer the family and I drove to Telluride from San Francisco Bay. It was a much longer trip because every 200 miles or so we had to stop for at least 30 minutes.

Agree it seems to pick up more rock hits than my Q7 did. Mine finally cracked all the way from top to bottom so now getting it repaired. $1800 to replace and recalibrate at Rivian San Jose. Definitely get glass coverage from your insurance.
I have this exact problem as well. When it is snowing and using the wipers a build up of ice and snow forms on the drivers side of the windshield. This then sticks to the wiper blades and smears water / ice across the windshield making it near impossible to see out the windshield.

I went with the 150 bars as they allowed me to get the roofbox and cage on the rack. My measurements were that the 135s would not allow that. If just getting a cage OR the box 135 should work just fine. I don't have any issues with the 150s but if I used the front and middle mounts they might...

The R1S as a transport vehicle is the best road trip vehicle we've every had because of the interior room, tech, comfort and ease of stashing lots of stuff.
That said, I would never take it on a long road trip...

I just wrapped up a 2000 mile road trip and had similar issues with EA 350 kW chargers. What we ended up doing is sticking to the 150 kW chargers which were more reliable (in most cases) for a higher throughput. Also we used the nav to our next charging stop and not to our destination. This way...
There is a custom airbed on Amazon for the R1S. I purchased it for our road trip but we didn't end up using it yet. Comes with a pump as well. Seems to be ok quality and I like that you can inflate half or the whole thing.
Just returned from our road trip. Here is a shot of the pups up in the mountains. Golden has an eye condition so he is rocking the UV blocking goggles.
As a first time EV owner, I did pick up some tidbits of useful info. I didn't realize there was a manual pull for stuck chargers and that I need to be gentle with it. Also learning what happens from 50 to 30 to 0 miles of range was educational. Tone was very clickbait worthy to me.
