Hot Spot on/off not working

Has anyone else had issues turning the hot spot on and off?

When my hot spot is off l can go to either location to turn it on, the slide bubble turns yellow for on but the hot spot does not come on (neither sends a signal or changes the icon to on). I go back to the setting screen and the hot spot button is no longer on/yellow. Turn it back on and still no change. Do this for 20 or 30 minutes and at some point it comes on. It does the same if is on and you try to turn it off. Leaving it on would be a solution but over time it turns itself off.

I have taken it twice to the SC for this and they failed to fix it twice. The 2nd time before leaving the parking lot I showed them it was still not turning on. The service manager messes with it a while, turned the Bluetooth off for 2 minutes saying that was a known fix for a known issue. He eventually got it back on declared the ticket closed and assured me the next update would fix this known issue.

The next update did nothing. Turning the Bluetooth on and off seldom fixes it. I still can not get it on or off when needed. I just noticed the privacy setting for not tracking with the app will also not turn on or off when needed.

Is anyone else having these issues?

This is my one complaint with Rivian (or any car company for that matter) that insists on using a eSIM and not allowing users of NON- AT&T to put in their own SIM card. We are with T-Mobile (love them) and we have 4 lines but only use 3. I would love to use that 4th line for the Rivian, but with it being an eSIM, can't do it.....we are beholden to AT&T and when the FREE hotspot ends, we WON'T be signing up.

But in all fairness, we don't travel far distances that would give us the benefit of using the HOTSPOT. We just activate the HOTSPOT feature on our phones and we are good to go.

I noticed the same thing in mine but didn't think much about it since I didn't have my kids on their tablets it wasn't needed for the last trip.

Never had an issue in my Ascent with it and my kids streaming YouTube and Netflix on our trips with AT&T or the hotspot turning off as I had data limits at the time.

I do wish we could pick what company we want rather then going with AT&T. In a few areas I drive only Verizon works.

Yes, I just noticed yesterday when e were leaving on a road trip that my hot spot no longer works.

An infotainment reset fixes it for me, but it’s only happened once to me thus far.

So it seems others are having hot spot malfunctions. A reset seldom fixes mine. Is this going to go the way of the wireless charger that just never gets fixed ?

MY HOTSPOT HAS NOT WORKED SINCE DELIVERY....5 DAYS AGO BUT THIS MORNING I CHANGED THE PASSWORD AND IT IS CURRENTLY WORKING FOR THE FIRST TIME....KIDS ARE VERY EXCITED.
