  1. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

9 months have passed since this "Smart Charging" update and zero progress has been made in supporting multiple TOU periods per day, something that many other "less smart" and much cheaper EV/PHEV have supported for many years. Rivian should be ashamed.
  2. Extra warranty miles for distance to service center.

What kind of warranty work could possibly require Rivian to drive the vehicle 3k miles?!?!?
  3. Alexa - Not calling contacts anymore

Posting verbatim AI responses is not particularly helpful....
  4. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

The resemblance is smart. But the only thing they modernized is "the look". Everything else about it is a dumbing down compared to what mechanical timers were able to achieve 50+ years ago.
  5. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

Considering the uncanny resemblance of the Rivian Schedule Charging Screen to an old-school mechanical timer, it's even more ridiculous that Rivians can't handle multiple charging time periods per day.
  6. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

Submitted feedback to Rivian. Doubtful it will help since I submitted the same things months ago, but worth a shot I guess. This isn't really a "new" thing for SDGE. SDGE has always had two distinct super-off-peak periods daily. It's just that previously they only had it in March/April, and...
  7. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

Have they explicitly promised "multiple daily TOU periods"? - NO. But they tout how much their partnership with Weavegrid will make charging "smarter". https://riviantrackr.com/news/rivian-teams-up-with-weavegrid-to-bring-smarter-cheaper-charging-to-your-driveway/ This solution is clearly...
  8. Rivian Smart Charging Arrives in Next OTA Software Update

When will they update this to support multiple super-off-peak times per day? SDGE has updated their TOU rate plans to have both a 12am-6am AND 10pm-2pm, every day all-year round. This "smart schedule" charging should be able to handle this. My dumb PHEV jeep allows me to manually set a...
  9. Proximity locking is annoying

I posted a similar thread here last year(https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/unlocking-the-car-at-home-is-maddening.44027/). My only solution was to disable "proximity unlocking at home", and carry the FOB(gen1). Even so, it still sometimes takes several seconds between pressing the...
  10. Casting HDHomeRun / IPTV to Rivian display screen - my solution

My server is https. First time I've ever done that, but I jumped through all the hoops to setup a cloudflare tunnel, nginx proxy, install a cert, etc. When accessing my server, chrome shows it's a secure site - so I'm pretty confident that https is setup properly. But even so, I'm not getting...
  11. Casting HDHomeRun / IPTV to Rivian display screen - my solution

Sure I will file an issue on the github for needing to do the manual refresh. I figured out how to do the timezone, no issue there.
  12. Casting HDHomeRun / IPTV to Rivian display screen - my solution

I also don't see the cast button on the bottom right of the video playing screen. Is there anything that needs to be done to enable casting?
  13. Casting HDHomeRun / IPTV to Rivian display screen - my solution

Thanks. Did a git pull and redployed and it's now working! Putting in my xtream source didn't work automatically though, I had to click each of these 3 refresh buttons manually. I also originaly set "max_streams = 2", but then changed it to 0 before clicking the refresh buttons, so not sure...
  14. Casting HDHomeRun / IPTV to Rivian display screen - my solution

How does one cast to the Rivian when the server running netv is on a home network behind a router/firewall. I can make a vpn connection on my phone into my home network, but then I don't think I can cast that to the Rivian, because the Rivian will not be on that vpn. Is there someway to...
  15. Very incorrect arrival SoC with 2025.46.0

In my Gen1 Quad I've noticed that predicted arrival SOC is much lower using Conserve Mode than it is using All Purpose Mode. That makes absolute zero sense. I don't know if this is new in .46 or some other earlier update. But it's very annoying.
