Needed to order a tailgate trim piece from the Service Portal, and found this. Pretty reasonably priced, too. Hopefully they will also be offered via the Gearshop as a paid retrofit at some point...

Qi2 is not magsafe but does use magnetic alignment

Looking I'd say compatible isn't 100% there, but this also looks like its only for Gen2, as it oesn't show up in the portal for me when I look at Gen1. Pretty sure this was posted previously unless this is Gen1 and I'm missing it now.

Qi2 is MagSafe compatible. I use this, https://everyamp.com/products/qi2-wireless-charging-phone-mount-with-semiconductor-cooling. It works well.

The one meant for independent shops that cost thousands to subscribe in order to have access to part numbers, repair manuals and ordering of parts. Not consumer facing.

And info shared by OP is pertinent only to gen2.

We don't use the wireless chargers on our G2. Heats up the phone and doesn't charge well. We just snake a USB cable out from the console. I have the EVsportline Magsafe charger but for some reason haven't been using it. I guess I forget it's there.

Thankfully the third party retrofits work great in the Gen 1s. I've been very happy with my one from Soonish.
