Hijacking a bit, but any discussions about making one for the rear/3rd row glass in the R1S? I like my big glass roof in the pax compartment, but I would honestly prefer the rear stay dark full time. Just curious. :)
I own an R1S, but my neighbor-dad has an R1T, so I'll try to speak from his experience where possible.
1. Would you buy a Rivian again?
- Yes, absolutely.
2. How is living with a R1T with a family of 4?
- Perfectly fine in the S. Neighbor with R1T has boys of similar age (1 elementary, 1...
I'm just curious how they plan on making kneel mode "lower". It already looks like it's sitting on my tire treads when parked. Not upset about it (my kids certainly aren't), but just curious what that exactly entails.
Touchless or hand wash. Currently a small layer of snow on the ground here in Denver, so I'll take it through the touchless...plus, I generally just want a quick rinse in the winter to get the salt off...not looking for style points. In the summer, I can hand wash and baby it to make it look all...
Personal opinion, but I found the Pirellis to be absolute garbage in the snow. I had Falken AT3Ws on my Land Cruiser previously, and it was 1000x better in the snow. Currently on KO3s, and they're "good"...not "great", but I'm content. Nothing will ever beat a dedicated snow-tire, but as someone...
To add on, at least here in Colorado, the other party must provide you with a reasonably comparable vehicle when requested....obviously, you're not going to get another Rivian (or really any large SUV)...but for example, we needed something with 3 rows because kids, so we were offered the likes...
Additionally, look at some iron remover (Carpro, Adam's, Griot's, Meguaires, etc all make some). It will help dislodge some of the brake dust and other contaminants that are embedded in the caliper. It's pretty easy...spray, wait a minute, rinse or wash/rinse.
Only needs to be done once in a...
I'm going into week 3 after taking my R1S in for the "routine check-up". They ended up replacing the front axles, but also found rear struts/dampers leaking...it's been a week+ of just waiting on those parts.
I have another R1S as a loaner, so I can't complain too much, but I do miss my car...
Off-topic, but for those that do go to the Denver SC, highly recommend Elemental Bakery on the west side of that same building. Delicious breads and baked goods. :)
Agreed. I had a scheduled service, and they still took a week to start looking at it just because of the backlog. Will be 2 weeks come Thursday, but now delay is just due to waiting on a set of struts.
Clarifying for all. Gen1's do not have UWB radios, so Car Key from your watch, for example, would not work.
Gen2's do have UWB support, hence compatibility.
