The influencers told us AGM still lol. Also that Ohmu thread on here is full of people with 12v issues still. Same as everyone who bought one from them for their Tesla when they were having 12v issues too. Hard pass
Ohmu? You mean the company that shows a battery on a vibration table with ratchet straps didn’t make a good product? Im shocked. It’s not the only option.

I wonder for jacking if special pucks are needed or if more traditional approach can work.

You should ask your friend who builds JackPucks… he definitely knows the answer 😎

Honestly shocked Rivian didn’t redesign for a lithium 12v battery like Tesla did. Tesla had numerous 12v issues and failures with the “normal” lead acid golf cart type batteries. Zero issues since they went to the lithium 12v.
It could be on the list for future development? It's possible they wanted the least possible number of unknowns on this completely new platform so they stayed with the conventional lead Acid battery for stable operation with existing DC to DC charging/BMS designs.

R2 won’t need pucks. The jack points are already in place and ready to use a traditional jack or claw post jack at the shop.

this is from production Vin 101.

This is the new jack point. That little 2"×4" polymer rectangle is the load surface, and the random cavity in the middle is… honestly, a head‑scratcher. Nothing outside that rectangle is weight‑bearing, so no floor jack or bottle jack actually fits there. It’s a baffling design.
