Apple Music playing different song than what was selected

I’ve opened up an official case for it, but I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing this same behavior. I’ve done a soft reset and full reset, signed out of Apple Music and signed back in for both profiles and the behavior is still intermittently exhibited.

Apple Music intermittently plays an incorrect song after I’ve selected (via touch) a song. It will sometimes happen when I go to hit the play button for an entire album or playlist, but also happens if I select a single song. The song it plays has nothing to do with any other song in the list displayed (ex: my 5 year old wants to listen to the Demon Hunters soundtrack, so I select a song, but Foo Fighters starts playing).

Apple Music also annoys me with the personalized station (“Josh’s Station”) - only in the Rivian does that feature play songs I have never and would never play, but my wife would. It’s like it gets our preferences mixed up.

Hey listen. Yes it plays the wrong song most of the time. And yes it likely randomly just stops playing for no reason. And yes you can’t actually download music when going off road. But just remember that you’re still way better off not having CarPlay. So just relax and feel confident that everything is perfect and that you have the most amazing vehicle ever devised by man.
