I owned a Tesla for 6 years. They got service sorted in a couple of years. And always provided transportation.
I’ve owned Teslas for 8 years and live 2.5 from the closest three service centers. They are now providing loaners again but for a while they were only giving uber credits and we almost got stuck there with no way home six years ago when we arrived and they told us no loaners available. They ended up finding a loaner for us (which had bald tires that blew out on our way home)

I’m currently having another frustrating experience with my Cybertruck and was getting on here to see what people say about Rivian service.

Well, the "great" thing here is that Rivian has never managed to complete any repairs in less than five days, LOL. They did a battery and the toe link in 45 minutes each, otherwise, it's been 5-17 (yes seventeen) days.

I'm a fan of my R1T (2023, 68k miles). But the service continues to be unacceptable. Long wait times, even when I lived in the SF Bay Area. Up in Oregon, it is worse.

And now, they don't provide alternative transportation unless they keep the vehicle for 48 hrs. (Loaner or Rental car).

I live 2+ hours' drive, over 100 miles from the nearest service center. Tualatin, outside of Portland, Oregon. I've been waiting months for this appointment (April 16).

I owned a Tesla for 6 years. They got service sorted in a couple of years. And always provided transportation.

FYI from service tech "

I referenced the Rivian app message thread and it looks like the Mobile team is not available till long after your currently scheduled appointment. Regarding the tailgate repair and your current afternoon appointment, we do not provide alternate transportation for visits less than 48 hours in duration and it would be an overnight timeline for repair.

"

This is not acceptable. I won't be buying the R2. The R2 will make service delays worse.
Must be the policy at the SC you use. Ours in Tampa always gives us a loaner.

The corporate policy is rideshare credits for under 48 hours. If the Service Center location has loaners available, that is their choice.

My SC said I would definitely get either a loaner or Enterprise, and they expected it to take 1-2 days at most.

Yes, if they think it will take 2 days they will give alternative transportation in rental car or loaner.
