Michigan WTB: original Gen 1 R1S key fob (or trade my newer design fob)

I am looking for one of the original key fobs issued to Gen 1 R1S. These ones don't have white markings, just indentations of images for the lock/unlock and trunks. I prefer the look and feel of these relative to the newer generation key fobs.

If you have one, please let me know how much $ you would like for it. I am in Michigan and will travel in state for it (or Ohio). Otherwise, I can PayPal for shipping.

If you actually prefer the look of the newer generation key fob, I am also willing to trade you for mine in person.

what Gen is your R1S?

The Gen 1 only works on Gen 1. Gen 2 only Gen 2.

The 2024s had white logos on the fob as Gen 1s.

I have a few extra Gen 1 fobs. I think some in Black only and some with the white logos.

if you have a Gen 2 fob, I might consider just a straight trade.

I would really love to have some white markings on the legends, I have the all black. Looks? Don't care, but I can never remember which button is which. Happy to straight trade and we each cover our own shipping.

Gen 1 R1T, I believe the S and T share fobs.

@SwampNut The S and T have different images for the tailgate (even if they can be reprogrammed). Also, my current key fob is draining batteries and not very responsive, so until I get Rivian to replace it, I won't trade it with anyone. Supposedly, Rivian has been very low on Gen 1 fob replacements. It took me multiple calls to get this one two months ago. But thanks.

Giving this thread a bump-- I still haven't found an original Gen 1 R1S key fob. Anyone out there who is willing to sell theirs, I am willing to pay top dollar. Also, I am now also willing to pay for the newer Gen 1 key fob with white markings as well, if someone has a functioning one. The replacement I got from Rivian drains the battery completely within a month and doesn't open the frunk most days.

Just scheduled a SC visit for a new critical battery alert and a couple other service items including request for a fob replacement. They’ve already told me unavailable but I plan to make plenty of noise as it is completely unacceptable that my 3 year old vehicle cannot get a replacement part and they are silent on if they discontinued the fob or if they are back ordered. It’s BS

It’s ridiculous they won’t come out and say it is discontinued and instead choose to beat around the bush and jerk customers around. So many reasons to be salty as a gen 1 owner.
