The LE's are going to get snatched up...with the free tow package and lifetime Autonomy+, it's a good deal.

Add autonomy+ and tow package to Prem Dual, you are within a $1k of Performance LE. The LE is a good deal, if you value those two options.

When I got my R1S in 2023, I was eventually given access to the shop, and there was LE's still in there. It could be possible. I'd just hold tight. You'll get more details in the coming months.

This. In fact I was waiting for an Adventure and then saw one exactly my configuration LE one week after having shop access. It was the most exciting time!

Im surprised by only having essentially 2 wheel options, no blacked out rims and no sign of the rims used in all the promos for the initial R2 (I know concept, but still interesting).

The LE seems like a really good value with the included bonus of Autonomy+ included. Likely done to pump up the initial volumes as they build up manufacturing capacity for the other models and prepare the tri motor. Im guessing the Tri Motor wont be available until the Gen 3 is ready. Also curious if the 45K model, doesnt go full Gen3 to keep costs down. Thats still my biggest question, how does Gen3 affect what is announced today. If its minimal, Rivian seems well positioned.

I'm guessing the panoramic roof will be standard tinted on all three trims (and not the Dynamic Glass).

Interesting surprises, like semi-active suspension only on Performance. Also surprised on so much color choice for LE.

Only bummer really is no black wheels! Missed opportunity on the Performance offroad wheels imo.

You could literally get a LE for around $61k all in if you opt for the standard color and wheels. What a bargain!

I understand wanting a price point but don't get why anyone would want a RWD SUV.

People in milder climates and/or don't go off-road (go visit your nearest mall parking lot and start counting). RWD can still get around in weather, especially with modern traction control. Before AWD and traction control wasn't around, people survived just fine (and were probably better skilled drivers because of it).

One thing that does make me happy is that the Tow Package includes a trailer brake controller - the tow package on my Model Y didn't have that & I had to have a separate controller installed when I bought my travel trailer...

Happy to see that the Tow Package includes a brake controller. The Tesla Model X has never included on with the Tow Package and I had to install one in my X. Annoying that such an expensive car didn’t include a controller, but Tesla never put much effort into towing capabilities.

Or people that get winter tires. I drove a rear-wheel Model 3 with winter shoes and it was more than capable.
