Will the current R2 be upgradable to LiDAR and RAP1 chip in the future?

I haven't heard anyone mention this from Rivian but wondering if it might be possible. Especially now that R2 specs and images are out, I noticed all the vehicle images have the LiDAR "notch" that we saw during Autonomy Day but we know they won't ship with LiDAR. Could that mean its upgradable in the future? I know that would require both the LiDAR and RAP1, which doesn't seem like a simple swap out.

Or it could just be they wanted to simplify manufacturing to include the notch now so they don't have to change the manufacturing line, front glass, and front facia later?

Shame since Lucid allows the chip to be upgradable and the Lidar module could be plug and play.

Rivian has said no. The bumpout is there now because it doesn't make sense to have another sku

I wonder if the aftermarket community could repurpose that spot to put flood lights or something. Or radar detector.
