Rivian R1T R1S We Built Our First Camp Kitchen in a Basement. Three Years Later, We're Saying Thank You. - Thunderbolt Adventure canyon full

We run one sale a year. That's because we believe in fair prices all year long. No crazy markups so that we can constantly feed you deals. For a limited time, get 15% off Thunderbolt Adventure Supply brand products with code 2026Anniversary at checkout.

We know what gear needs to do because we're part of the Rivian community. We design and build products that we want to use. We make them locally because we like to sit down to coffee with our production partners. We make them out of recycled and renewable materials because the places we adventure in are worth protecting. And we build everything to last — because the most sustainable product is the one you don't have to replace, and the last thing you want is gear that lets you down miles from nowhere.

See you out there.

Ah, I’m torn! We have both an S and a T. We will camp with both with an air cruiser RTT. I’m struggling to decide between the field kitchen and the camp kitchen. I love the camp kitchen, but I also like the ability to have the field kitchen in either vehicle…

As Mousetrap said, get both?!? In all seriousness, I'm glad we only have the R1T so I don't have to decide. I love them both!

If I were making the decision, I would go with the Thunderbolt camp kitchen and sled. The stove and sink are separate modules which can be installed or removed from the R1T sled in a minute (four big locking feet hold each in place on sled). They can be used standalone on a table, tailgate, etc. May need extension cord for stove top. When not camping I remove and store the modules so I can use the sled for other stuff. We have been very happy with the camp kitchen.

Received R1T Under Seat Cover. Very nice powder coating. One very minor feedback on the bamboo seat stays (great choice on material!) is if the corners were rounded, right out of the box, it would feel like a totally finished product. I understand this would add a little time and labor on your end, but the sharp edges don't feel good to the touch. If done on a table mounted router, it'd only take a few minutes for the pair. I don't have one, so I did it by hand with a Dremel and sanding bit, then finished with a quick overall rubdown by hand with fine grit sandpaper. End result isn't as neat/uniform as a router would have produced, but feels better in hands.

Hi! So glad you're enjoying the Under Seat Cover. We hear you on the improvement that rounding over the edges of the bamboo can make to the feeling of that component. As we streamline our assembly for other products, we'll try to make time to add that step to the process.

I just saw this post with the 2026 anniversary discount, is it over now that it’s a new month?

I just tried using it and it looks like it is likely expired unfortunately.
