I think this is awesome! I always loved Knight Rider....and The Hoff is next level cool....and team up with Rivian (i.e. Rivian paid whatever it took to ge this to happen) is really cool.
And even if G1 is not included...I still love it as I feel this kinda stuff sells trucks...
My truck still at airport and I am far away....how is the improvement to Apple Music? Does it start playing again where left off after going into a store or a sleep cycle?
I do agree but one very big thing that must be considered is IIHS entirely ignores mass of the vehicle and it is relative to a class of vehicles.
So in many accidents involving multiple vehicles.....there are many cases where a higher rated much lighter vehicle would likely actually be alot...
Still wish that Rivian would update the power meter on driver IP to show actual power available vs max power...Like they do when QM is in conserve for example.
So when SOC is low...and power available is something less than 100%, show that in that sliding display thing. Or if things are...
Your not wrong...for some investors that would make sense. But you do have to consider fed and state taxes on gains while not being able to deduct car loan or even home loan interest.
And as far as restricting freedom...as long as you always maintain positive asset in the depreciating assets...
I have an OG twin battery with 46k or so on it....never had a 12v issue....knock on the wood dash....
But very nice that Rivian must be aware of a quality issue and are proactively replacing the suspect batteries.
I agree! Hopefully it doesn't need to be reset back to nav screen everytime. Hoping too I don't have to restart Apple Music everytime I get back in truck.
That's fair.....I guess I understood that even features I had when I bought the truck might become pay for features later. At least when I bought mine that was super clear in the terms, but maybe that isn't case anymore.
Bit I get the point....some will want alot more to justify the $150 a...
I would lease to get an incentive....and buy out immediately. I get it....I am not anti-lease. Just not for me.
My point was Rivians depreciate alot more than Jeep Wranglers and people have been commenting the opposite. I own both....and know Wranglers retain a very high level of value...
Then don't subscribe? Easy solution for that right? Wait it out till you see value. Let free market play. If subscriptions don't meet Rivian expectations maybe they add features to make it more attractive for those that don't find it attractive.
I'd pay for it just for the satellite image on...
I am not stuck....I could replace it at anytime without concern. But in a lease....you are more stuck often during the lease period. I like the "I don't like it anymore" and can get rid of it today approach I take.
So I don't finance or lease vehicles. Gives me complete freedom of the moment.
