I know Rivian has labeled themselves as an āAdventureā vehicle and as such many of the RAN stations are off the beaten path. However, I wonder how many RIVIAN owners actually use their vehicle as an āoff-roadā or adventure vehicle and how many use it for more typical vacation trips.
I for one...
You are correct!
By the way, this rack folds/tilts down with bikes attached so tail gate can be opened. When rack is in the stored position (without a bike obviously), flush with the back of the vehicle, the tail gate folds down. There is just enough clearance. If you add additional bike...
Here is my 2025 R1S with a QuikR Stuff Rack. I have had several different hitch racks over the past 25 yrs. including 1-UP. They are both excellent racks but the QuikR offers a few features the 1-UP doesnāt. Might come down to personal preference. Both have similar price points.
I think this answered my question. You unlock the vehicle at home when the DK is active and you have "lock at home only" enabled in the proximity settings by touching the indent on the drivers door handle? Otherwise, the vehicle always stays locked when you have your phone and are in close...
In my original post one of my questions was how do you unlock your vehicle when parked at you selected āhomeā location if you have proximity set to ālock at home onlyā? Currently using BT, Iām forced to use the App or a card key. Obviously this prevents the vehicle from unlocking every time I...
Thank you everyone for your feedback. Lots to āmullā over. The BT performance variability from one user to the next fascinates me. Personally, the BT App has worked just fine. I just replaced my iPhone SE 2nd Gen on iOS18 with an iPhone 14 Pro on iOS26. So far so good.
Today was my first drive...
Rivian finally pushed me the .46.30 update. I now have the digital key option. Before I decide whether or not to implement, I wanted to hear back from folks who have been using it for a few weeks on their Rivian and their first hand experience between the BT App and the Digital Key.
From what...
I sent a IM to Rivian this morning and they confirmed what @UnsungZero_OldTimeAdMan clearly stated, .46.30 is the complete package. No need to install "buggy" .46 before doing the .46.30 install.
Sometimes it pays to be last š¤£
Quick question for all of you Rivianites. Rivian finally pushed the latest update to me yesterday. It said "2025.46.30 is now available to download". I found this odd, since I never received notification to download 2025.46 which I thought was the update and 46.30 was a only a "patch" or...
Iāve talked to a couple of drivers to ask how they like them. Theyāve all thought they were great. I asked what their daily mileage was. It ranged from 80-130/day. So say 105 mi/day on average. That is in the neighborhood of 35,000 miles/year. So at a minimum, your looking at 6-7 visits just...
Or purchase an extended warranty if that is a concern. There are several threads re xCare warranties. They seem quite reasonable and in line with ICE extended warranties.
Sounds like a solid business decision to me. And if it opens more SCās Iām all for it.
When I visited the Eastvale SC in SoCal last year it was this brand new location in a huge industrial park. When I peaked inside there must have been 20-30 (just a guess) bays. Many filled with Amazon...
Same here. I had an alignment done in early Feb. 2025 at the Eastvale SC in SoCal while on a trip. They said the alignment was off but they didnāt mention having to replace any parts. The alignment has been dead nuts on ever since.
Nothing for me just yet. It might be you need to download the .46 before they push the .46.30 to you (assuming youāre a Gen 2 owner). Not really sure how Rivian software releases and updates operate. I did see a post that the release notes for 46.30 build are available.
