The amended S1 states there no lockup for the DSP. The S-1 currently has placeholders for the float but the talk is about raising $8 bb on an $80 bb valuation. YMMV.
The part I noticed was the headline that this was the biggest EV purchase ever. Apparently the reporter hadn’t heard of the Amazon deal with Rivian to purchase 100,000 vans.
Apparently from the pricing it seems Hertz was given the same pricing as normal buyers. My guess is they wait in the same...
I don’t think assuming a steady state is reasonable. It’s called a ramp for a reason. It will accelerate over time, the question is when? Tomorrow? Mid-November? Next year? It’s like watching a rocker on the launch pad 1/10th of a second after liftoff. It’s going 5 meters/second, so you...
The part that surprised me was that they were planning on raising only $100 mm. This is less than a month’s run rate. Or assuming a $80 bb valuation about 0.13% of the company.
I’m in Boulder Creek (near Santa Cruz). This is my config August of 2021:
I’ve done a little light off roading. Forest roads, a cool trail on the big island. Nothing technical and would love to do a bit more.
Rivian is clearly following best practices and doing a slow ramp. Also it’s pretty clear that their service and delivery network isn’t fully built out. Let’s assume they have reached the point where there are no known design showstoppers and few or no known
Manufacturing showstoppers.
It...
The 150k number is for both the R1 and the delivery vans. The delivery van line is supposed to have a higher rate.
That being said, they’ve had the line working for a couple of weeks. So I would say 12 weeks. But I agree they are unlikely to be at full speed any time soon.
I’ve got a reservation for the tri-motor CT. Both have advantages to me. The CT is larger and will be nice when I have big loads of lumber. Especial 4x8 sheets or long pressure treated board. The extra electric power will help when I want to run my electric chipper shredder away from an outlet...
