I guess I don't understand. Can someone please explain the wanting to powder coat the wheels?
What advantage is there to doing that. I think the factory wheels are quite nice and don't personally see covering them up for what they cost. Or am I missing something?
I thought I had seen something to this effect someplace else (but can't find it now) about the vehicle not completely going to sleep at night because of something sitting on the seat. If that is the case that is bad news. When we travel our rear seats are almost always full of stuff, not...
Got me.
Rivian is it always on or only when vehicle is on? If only on when vehicle is on pretty much shoots down using a 12v fridge/cooler when camping.
I can't believe they would not let the 12 volt plugs stay hot all the time. And why in the hell did they not put one in the bed???

It is really quite surprising that Rivian would not have put a 12 volt plug in the bed. they could have put 1 12v and one 120v in the same place they put the 2 120's. I would think many more people would use a 12volt than needing 2 120's. Not at all a good design in my opinion. Plus according to...
We have one of those types of fridge/coolers only a Dometic. Make sure you have plenty of air availabilty to keep the compressor from frying. We tried ours in the galley of our teardrop, only problem is the galley seals so tight the cooler was not getting enough fresh air and almost fried the...
4.3 KW system here. Have been online with solar for almost 14 years.
We redid our system last year. The new system was almost 1/3 the price of our original. Plus we got 26% federal tax credit. Had a new roof put on at the same time and got 26% federal tax credit on the part of the roof that has...
Wow I can't believe all the negativity. Getting everything up and running for any new business is not easy. Seeing that lot full of new vehicles is so encouraging to me. Give Rivian a chance they will make it happen and they will become a major player in the auto industry.
Those pictures look exactly the same color rendition as I saw when in Normal a couple weeks ago. I was quite a way from it but it was a full blue sky and it looked just like your pics.
The concern is paying bucks for electricity that are way above what it should be. Just because the truck is expensive doesn't mean people are willing to fork out money for electricity use that shouldn't be happening. If someone in a Silverado or F150 are only getting 4 mph when they should be...
I know they are completely different vehicles but our Chevy Volt, we can leave it parked for 3 months when away and charge it before hand at about 30-40% SOC leave it unplugged from the charger but put a trickle charger on the 12 volt (per Chevy Volt owners manual) and come back 3 months later...
Well hey we could just buy a piece of that beautiful reflectix hot glue some velcro on the headliner at each corner of the glass and hot glue the other side of the velcro on the reflectix. Problem solved for $10.
It is pretty unfortunate spending this much money on a vehicle and already having to be trying to find ways to keep the inside from baking because of a glass roof with no shade.
This is part of a reply I received from Rivian, I had wrote them about being able to turn off the charging lights if I were in a campground and plugged in to charge. Because people get into their vehicle multiple times in the evening. Apparently they have at least addressed being able to turn...
Thats not acceptable.
It's a huge problem. Just say you want to go off the beaten track camping for a week plus and a person ends up loosing miles a day when not driving getting back out is a big deal.
