FWIW, I have had this problem since bring home my R1T last year. My electrician confirmed that while a nuisance it didnāt appear to be any kind of major issue. Most likely noise from the Rivian onboard charger.
this is the same with gen 2 R1S as well.
If I were at Rivian, i'd charge $200 for adapters this year and say "but everyone gets them for free next year."
Extra revenue and helps to let people self-prioritize.
Got it - thanks! I didnāt realize it had speakers itself! Thatās probably good enough for podcasts, too.
I donāt suppose it registers as an EV for routing?
So for audio / calls, are you going iPhone -> CP Unit -> FM -> Rivian, or do you flip back to the BT connection?
If it's the former, how's that experience like?
I found a 12v plug under my dash so this may be a weekend pickup for me!
Anyone else had this? Randomly noticed that my front sensor alert was going off at weird times, and we then noticed that one of the four ultrasound sensors on the front bumper had slid inwards and was now resting nestled in and... detecting the bumper as an object to avoid.
It's not a major...
State Inspection stations must provide inspections to any vehicle. Thatās why Tesla doesnāt do āem - they donāt want to do them for other cars - and also why you can bring your Rivian to any place that offers inspections.
(Same goes for motorcycles, which is how i learned this; It also means...
Ended up paying for Spotify. I donāt like it but the audio quality is so much better than Bluetooth itās silly.
Podcasts via Overcast on Bluetooth are fine. But while I still prefer Apple Music, and thatās what i use outside the truck, the audio quality is just too good to use a non-native app...
Probably, yes. It's also why I'm interested in the Canoo - similarly, they're trying something new, and weird. The Canoo is probably a more functional kind of weird. (And man, it'd be easy to get the dogs in that.)
My EVSE is, and has been for six years, the most expensive thing in my house from a pure kWh perspective. The AC in the summer is close, because it runs for large chunks of the day and I limit charging to 12-5am.
Since my R1T came home, it's consumed 757 kWh. My fridge is barely at 100. (my...
Okay, i'll shove my head in the lion's mouth here:
I love how it looks. I love how absolutely, completely stupid it looks. I love that it's massively different, and that, hopefully, it's different enough to encourage other automakers to get weird, because everything that's ugly and weird and...
Because they are not run by Rivian, but instead by Electrify America.
I've had a Model S since 2016. In addition to the base Tesla (now, Rivian) app, I'd go for Plugshare (still ugly, still incredibly useful) and ABRP (though, yes, more features are being rolled into G/A Maps, but having a...
