My jets are pretty weak most of the time. Last time I was in the service center I had them take a look. When I was dropping it off and showing the tech the things I wanted looked at, he was like "yeah, we'd probably want to replace the whole jet system". When I picked up the truck the service...
Maybe like many tech companies, Rivian has a production freeze around holidays and we won't get a new release on the same cadence. It would suck to have any regressions right before people travel for thanksgiving while your engineers are also taking time off. Wouldn't want a repeat of the last...
Oooo, I thought I had remembered you getting CY/FE, or at least we talked about it on reddit.
I like BM more than I expected to though, so no regrets about BM v. OC or FE.
I did end up getting a blue one, but having seen all of the colors in person now, yellow would be my second pick after blue! Fyi it's lighter and more pastel in person than you might be expecting.
It's sad though that Rivian has decided to disallow the CY/FE aka Spinach Omelette build. Those...
Seems kind of like there should be a protection mechanism in place for things like this (e.g. if the truck loses 50% of its battery due to phantom drain then it automatically enters shipping/storage mode to prevent a total drain). I wonder if other EVs do anything like that.
At the Chelsea (Boston) SC they asked for the card.
Given the variance in this thread I'd imagine that they can all accomadate both but may have a local preference.
I was driving my truck in these icy cold temperatures we've started getting and there was tons of clunking, grinding, cracking, rattling, etc. I was getting pretty stressed about the truck completely shitting the bed at the very first hint of winter.
When I got home I did a walkthrough of the...
The only reliable technicians for Rivians right now are those employed by Rivian. Your best bet is contacting Rivian to see what they can do.
As a last resort I suppose you could try directly contacting a service center in the US and seeing if any technicians would be up for a Kuwaiti vacation...
I have no advice other than to contact Rivian service (though being in Kuwait they might turn you away, but hopefully they can at least offer a few things to try), but I just wanted to say that bringing an R1T to Kuwait is pretty rad! I wonder if you have the first/only Rivian in the middle...
I've recently put my all-weather mats in place for the winter and am finding them to be quite slippery (for feet; they cling to the floor very well). I've been feeling like the risk of a foot resting at an angle, ready to accelerate from a traffic light, slipping into the accelerator is a bit...
If all of their prototypes continue to fail, I wonder if we ever get to a point where Rivian decides to just cut their losses and issue tonneau refunds, manual tonneaus, and offers to remove the automatic one. Or maybe they'll partner with an external tonneau maker to retrofit existing vehicles...
