Another shoutout for Jim and Carlos at California Detailing in San Francisco. They did a great job on our Dual Max R1S. We opted for the full front PPF to avoid the front end of our R1S suffering the fate of our 2013 Tahoe. Highly recommended.
Another idea might be to replace your current charger with the new Tesla Universal Wall connector. We just installed one as we have a Tesla Model Y already and are expecting the Rivian soon.
Congrats! June 2022 reservation holder here, and also just bought a Max Pack Dual Motor AWD in Blue with Dark Ash Wood Interior - 21" wheels from the shop. Looking forward to picking up sometime soon!
Haha I just talked to my wife (who has a Model Y LR) about whether we should go for max pack instead of the dual I locked in. She was all for the max. And when I logged into the shop to pick from the several that were available earlier this am that would have worked - all gone! I guess I’ll...
Ok. Then what’s your thinking about why over 90 percent of the inventory in the shop is quads? I was surprised to see that and range seemed a reasonable explanation.
I finally have R1 shop access after locking in my R1S configuration last month. What’s interesting to me is there are 211 R1S vehicles available here in the Bay Area, and 184 are quads.
And yet, having configured in October, I keep getting emails from Rivian encouraging me to make a purchase through the R1 shop. It is kind of annoying.
