I just got mine today. I will look to return it. It's pretty useless. The height is only about 6 inches high when installed (a dimension they helpfully don't provide in the gear shop). So it can't really contain anything of any height. Also, per the symbols on the device, the cargo...
It was a creaking sound at very low speeds. Kind of like when you were a kid and maybe had one of those toy cars that you’d pull back on the floor and then they would take off. The sound those toys made when you were pulling them backward. Best analogy I can think of. Tech said he thinks of...
I just got it back and haven't really noticed much of a difference yet, although the only thing I noticed before the repair was the noise and tbh it wasn't clear to me that it was an issue until the tech brought it up which in retrospect was pretty key
I had noticed the sound but it didn't really bother me. Then when I had mobile 22.5k service a couple months ago the tech noticed the sound and suggested I may need new ting washers. Last week I brought it in to get an alignment (just got new tires) and to have the ting washer issue addressed...
Irate? Can you read?
One more for the ignore list.
(By the way, gas stations post their prices in huge letters by the street, so you should come up with a better comparison for your trolling)
Just did. They confirmed (after checking with a colleague) that the price indeed was increased. They apologized for the inconvenience. I told them there’s no convenience issue, but the lack of communication about this is a little sketchy.
I just charged at the Corte Madera RAN and the cost was 52 cents per kWh, up from 36 cents just last. Has Rivian quietly imposed a >40% price increase?
I have solar and Powerwalls. Our home is in Sonoma County and we originally got the Powerwalls to weather power outages. Since we got the Powerwalls outages in our area have become far less frequent. HOWEVER the big advantage of Powerwalls that i hadn’t been anticipating is optimizing our...
Just got a call about my mobile service appointment I had scheduled for July 5. It somehow just occurred to them that the service would take place at my address, which is outside the zone where their tech will be that day. Had to push out 2 weeks.
It’s really kind of amusing how triggered some folks seem to be about the idea of someone else choosing to spend their own money to get the max pack.
We use a Tesla universal wall connector that we use for our R1S and Model Y. It’s has a built in adapter. We set it up to optimize time of use rates with our utility - basically so it only operates from midnite to 3 pm.
It has worked well.
I feel your company pain. Same thing happened to me for same reason. Fortunately I happened to check the app a couple hours after parking and figured out what was happening. Contacted Rivian support to let them know this seemed like a design flaw to me - at least there should be an alert in...
That’s interesting. I see it as a marketing expense. It might cost me $30 for a guest to charge their EV. It’s totally worth it to me if they’re paying $800 or $1000 or more per night to rent the house. And Airbnb and VRBO let you list a level 2 EV charger as an amenity that a renter can...
I have an R1S and I am also a VRBO/Airbnb owner. We installed a Tesla Universal Wall connector at our house and set it up for use by our renters during off peak hours. It’s a choice we’ve made to make the house convenient for EV drivers.
That said, the idea of someone tapping into our...
Thank you for posting this. Does it fold if you want to raise the 3rd row seats or do you have to remove it? Trying to decide whether to get this one or the one that just covers the area behind the 3rd row.
I picked my DM R1S Max about a week ago. Given that it's a 7000 lb SUV I didn't really see the need to be able to go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds instead of 4.5 seconds, and I feel good about the decision about a week out. The base DM is plenty fast and I have yet to feel like I'm missing out in any way.
