  1. Rivian causing Spotify to pause on other devices while parked?

Has been happening ever since I got my truck. As will happen if I open my truck door. Gets annoying. And good luck trying to leave your truck playing music while you aren't in it. Unless you leave a door open, it refuses to play on Spotify for more than 1/2 second.
  2. 2026.07 Software Update notes - features & fixes coming

What the base model Nissan Sentra rental the SC gave me for a month had for infotainment functionality.
  3. Motorcycle Hauling Trip with R1T -- Good news for the bike folks!

I strap right to the triple with nylon loops. Picked up a set of steel folding ramps at Harbor Freight which fit nicely in the gear tunnel. Have hauled a few bikes in the back, but generally they end up in the toy hauler, so I haven't needed to often. I've considered doing my R1250GSA, but...
  4. Charging with a generator when boon docking

You can make your own bonding plug for a generator if you are going to charge via 120v. Super easy, and is less than $5, all in.
  5. Group Buy/Purchase for a Rivian Service Account with Access to RiDE Software Salvage Titles where are you?

It's less effort to just move to the next thread than post something like this. Thanks for going out of your way to make this community less helpful.
  6. Plug & Charge with Electrify America and IONNA - coming in next update

I'd really like to see pricing per kWh up front on all charging results. Right now it's a bit of digging to see if we're going to be paying the equivalent of $1.99/gallon or $7.86/gallon to fill up.
  7. Anyone towing 6,500 lbs or more with any regularity?

With the weights up there on a trailer, having it in soft means you're tail will be oscillating bit on bumps.
  8. Anyone towing 6,500 lbs or more with any regularity?

I regularly tow a toy hauler that comes in at 9500 fully loaded, 12-15 times a year. It'll do it fine, just be aware that you really should run your suspension on firm at all times. And yes, range takes a big hit, especially above 50mph. I get about 1mi/kwh unless I'm pushing air on the...
  9. New Service Menu coming to make owner DIY repairs & maintenance easier

Batteries, brakes, suspension. That's really what we need to be able to work on.
  10. Rear Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement on a 2022 Rivian R1T -- DIY How-To

Now I'm thinking back in my head of all the vehicle brake jobs I've done that perhaps I could have left the caliper bracket on for.... Ah well. No more grinding sound while driving slow or squeal from the wear indicators. Inside pad on both sides were next to nothing, while the outside pad...
  11. Rear Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement on a 2022 Rivian R1T -- DIY How-To

Loosened it on the first one, left the second one alone. Takes a little shimmying, but the rotor will come off without touching the bracket
  12. Rear Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement on a 2022 Rivian R1T -- DIY How-To

Did mine tonight. 9v battery worked great with a 9" C clamp. No need to bleed the brake fluid, it'll push back into the reservoir without issue. Left it in tire change mode, car wash, neutral with the door open. First side took almost an hour (searching for alligator clips) while the second...
  13. HVAC and Motor/battery Waste Heat

Interesting. I did not know this. Is there any documentation to see how this system operates so I can use it in the most efficient way possible without resorting to resistive heat?
  14. HVAC and Motor/battery Waste Heat

I wish this was the case in a Gen1. Seeing my battery charge drop from running heat while the motors are in the 120-130 range seems like such a waste. Give me that heat!
  15. Brake Pad Replacement Cost ?

I'll need to do mine soon, pads and rotors. Rotors mostly in the rear due to corrosion on the outside surface due to that pad never engaging the rotor. 2 hour ride to my local SC. It would take me under an hour to do all of this (4 sets of pads and rotors) on my own. Just need the software to...
  16. Charge limit does not stay set

    https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/2024-47-update-charging-limit-not-being-held-when-set-in-truck-sometimes.37933/
  17. 2024.47 update - Charging limit not being held when set in truck sometimes

Will do. Took 3 tries in the truck before setting it to 70% from 100% "stuck".
  18. 2024.47 update - Charging limit not being held when set in truck sometimes

I've had this truck for 2.5 years. This was not a screwup on my behalf, and I intentionally made very certain it was done correctly last night so as not to charge the truck up to 100% without needing to. This was not done via the app, it was done on the truck itself both times.
  19. 2024.47 update - Charging limit not being held when set in truck sometimes

Twice now since last Thursday this has occurred. Was planning on a big trip with charging stops Friday. Set the truck to 95% in the truck before plugging in for the night. Went to leave on Friday and it was 69% (set to 70%). Thought maybe I made a mistake. Got home from a bunch of holiday...
  20. Rivian 2024.43 OTA update coming this week with new features, fixes, improvements, owl hoot lock sound

So I can hit the "+" icon to turn on the fan (nice!) for things like a bit of a foggy windshield, but I can't hit "-" to turn it back off? C'mon.....
